“Emelia Ehrhart.. although she lost hers” is crazy
Lol
My first watch, a gift from my maternal Grandparents, was a 37mm hand winding Vulcain Tachymetre with a Valjoux movement 52 years ago. Guess what? I still have it and it keeps perfect time.
Very nice 🤩 Thanks to planned wear and tear this quality will never be reached again
“A beaver’s favorite…wood”. I see what you did there! LOL
Hard wood....specifically.
..."the Cricket, which is insensitive to British people as it is a reminder of a sport that we invented that we get routinely destroyed at..." OMG, that definitely had the me chuckling for hours. Thanks again Andrew!
Yes I remember when Sri Lanka toured around 2006 and they utterly slaughtered us. One of my most traumatic childhood memories lol. At one point they were 220 odd for no wickets in an ODI game smh
I’m guessing for British he’s doing that standard English thing of saying British when something English goes to crap!!
The perfect Watches and Wonders palate cleanser
As an owner of (the three dial) Sinn 356 since 2008, thank you for recognizing this nearly perfect watch. So overlooked by either it's brawnier brothers (the Sinn divers and larger chronos) or by its plainer sibling (the justly lauded but unjustly more famous) 556, my 356 has been rafting the Colorado river, to the top of almost 2 dozen 14,000 foot peaks (4267 meters and taller), used to time actual plane flights (ok, drone flights), used to time contractions, and been placed on a nice croc strap and worn in corporate boardrooms and to weddings. An overlooked, great watch for sure.
0:33 “But enough about Boeing.” 🤣😂
That one sent me too! 🤣🤣
The entire Longines section is gold, Jerry! Gold!
Kenny Banya..let’s have some soup at Mendy’s 😅
Yes but they are all copy Tudor… where’s the point?!?!
Longines has huge models in their collection go and pick them out from the dust and make them not copy Tudor boring like the Hodinkee version almost 100% copy paste of Tudor Pro 😳👊🏽
You broke my heart with the Wales jab. Cold blooded.
It was from the point of view of a lost Portuguese mariner, though. Clearly Welsh women are nowhere near hairy enough.
amw upload? we eating good today
You mean beans and rice ? Every time a video of his comes out … I’m busy twitching to buy my next watch
This is becoming my favorite watch channel. It’s like Watchfinder level content with hilarious statements thrown in. I’ve laughed out loud several times watching these videos
I've been binge-watching your channel for the past 3 days. From my 17-hour flight to arriving back home and unpacking my things and catching up with work, I've found your style and voice so soothing it's like playing actual music in the background lol. As a fellow writer, please keep up the amazing work!
I can’t even pick my favorite zinger this week
The Boeing one
The Pink Floyd / Division Bell one was just precise and killer
Now the best watch channel on the internet. I always end up laughing out loud, but the commentary is also deeply informative in an off beat way. It’s a combination of market knowledge, technical understanding and withering remarks that makes it entirely unpredictable, fun and absorbing
10:46 Love the grand tour reference
The Longines is very handsome!
great information.. and hilarious! thanks Mr Morgan
This is gold. Keep em comming!
I feel like the Portugieser has so much potential and was excited seeing IWC refreshing and upgrading the line this year. I think a 37mm variant would be a banger
Watching this, I got an image of you writing that Amelia Earhart joke, and then thinking to yourself "is it to much? No, no it is not" :)
Great video as always!!!!
"If you could set your watch to gourverment lies, there would never have been an accuracy problem" HOLY SHIT I'M STEALING THAT
Excellent produced video, and your wit is off the chart.😆 I had to watch this twice.
Best comedy routine on watch telling I've ever heard! Keep up the good work!
Lovely video, my favorite thing is learning about cool watches that I didn't know about.
Excellent ! Love Laurent Ferrier watches.
The quips were on fire today..
I have a Longine Spirit Chronograph. It is a beautiful watch and the centrepiece of my collection.
Thank you for explaining exactly why I found 2 “co-branded” Bucherer/Rolex spoons in my father’s things after he passed. Oh, I also found his exceptionally small Bucherer gold quartz watch. He was not a large man, nor am I, but the watch is beautifully diminutive.
Cup of coffee and a new amw video- good way to,start the weekend
😂😂😂 Andrew, Andrew, Andrew!!! WHERE do you come up with these things, bro??? This has got to be one of your FUNNIEST commentaries yet! This is definitely your calling in life, bro. You're definitely blessed....so informative, soooo funny. GREAT work, Sir! 😅😅😊😊😊
Keep it up.
That Sinn looks amazing
Cheeky!! Great video Andrew thank you.
Loving the Ripper RM line.
Good video my friend always.💯👍
Amazing video 👍💕
Rgm COE 801 Is not only my dream piece but a forgotten masterpiece
Loved the chopard alpine eagle
Loved the Grand Tour reference.
Amazing video.
That Chooard is such a sleeper
Good facelift as well 👍
Nice one...I've always had a soft spot for the DSTB! And the off the wall inclusion would have been the grandaddy of dive watches...the X Fathoms!
Some nice watches mentioned for sure
erh!! my favourite is, all of them. 😅
Beautiful watches, great content as always
Looks like you used some footage from the Serious Watches TH-cam channel. Good to see some smaller channels some screen time 👌 You’re doing the lord’s work, Andrew.
Mesopotamian, the Odessy and Ikea in the same reference. Awesome! Keep it up :)
That Louis Erard is amazing!
Fascinating. I never knew that about Jack the Ripper. This really is the go-to channel for pre-University Challenge revision.
Now I just can’t unsee it. I’ll never again look at the alpine eagle in the same way.
Sinn makes a great watch for EMTs ! Very cool
thanks Faramir! great video as always
“But enough about Boeing.” ZING!! 😂😂😂
Loved the Floyd reference
My goodness that Longines is a handsome piece with gorgeous details!
If your science fiction novels are as exciting as your watch videos then they sell fucking good, Andrew Morgan !!!
I’m surprised the lack of videos and reviews on the 356. I bought an acrylic model with the day date and 3 subdials and it’s fantastic! It does wear a little thick but the acrylic model has a solid case back which wears closer to the wrist. They’re also the least expensive automatic chronograph from a reputable brand.
The 356A RS has been one of my tab pages for months now, maybe I should pull the trigger. I had a plan of saving for a year for a Tudor but with all the exposure they’re getting I’m almost bored with the brand eventhough I’ve never held one😛
good vid and funny to your wording is amusing! 😆
The Arnold and Son jumping seconds watch makes me thing it’s using a similar mechanism as the Habring2 Erwin. Very cool to see!
When I first got into watch collecting a little over a decade ago, it seemed like every homage brand was trying to copy the Portuguese and it was on everyone's grail list. But you're right. I havent heard about it in a while.
Really like the Laurent Ferrier aesthetic. Next time show a dial or two!
Vulcain and Bucherer are highly under rated....thanks for the zingers
Looking fresh, Andy!
Funny, you notice the fresh look, but you missed the major chance....he repaired his upper tooth. This is the first video, after the repair job. Great looks..!!
Not sure why iwc is on this list with those other brands. Iwc is one of the finest watch manufacturers. Example is their eternal Calander they just released. Also their multiple tourbillon models, perpetual Calanders etc. Absolutely fantastic high horology brand. Very popular, sell well on secondary market with decent value retention.
In the tapestry of time, Jaquet Droz stands as a forgotten gem, the second oldest active brand in watchmaking. Born from the vision of Pierre Jaquet-Droz in the Swiss Jura mountains, its journey is one of relentless pursuit of perfection. Crafting intricate timepieces and mesmerizing automata, Jaquet Droz captured the imagination of generations. Today, amidst the rush of modernity, its quiet elegance endures, a testament to timeless craftsmanship and innovation.
That blue Carl F. Bucherer is the classiest watch I have ever seen. It reminds me of an Aston Martin. Love the large arabic numerals which complement the smaller numbers
Nice haircut Andrew. 👍🏼
Sinn 256 is one of my favorites on the special edition leather black strap 🤔!.
Hi Andrew, chapters my man. Please have the timepieces analysis divided into chapters. I realize that it’s a bit more work to do in editing your videos but you’re worth it! Lol! ✌🏻
Gets really quite hard to not immediately send Andrew money. Love the content, will work out some financial arrangement! Top stuff.
Loving your video I'll call you sir as your voice I think requires it. I really liked the Eagle piece sorry I new I'd forget the name btt I replied. And the one after I 🤔 is the motornueron kicking in but they are all out of my price range just need to win the lottery but actually do it 1st 😢. But I do like a bit of window shopping and dreaming too. 😊 my collection has improved over the years but any of those would be akin to launching a rocket and landing on the moon. Even if I could would I?? But any how love your site glad you carried on on your own. 😊
Damn I love those IWCs
"Since regular baths just weren't enough to wash all that body hair". I just about choked on my lunch. F#@kin' hilarious.
Love my new Flyback Titanium.
has a portuguese that I am, the IWC introduction was nothing more the pure bliss
I think you are a watch comedian. It could be said that you create watch satire. Either way, I love your teaching methods. You make learning about watches fun. Thank you for sharing your view of the watch world with us.
As ever superb comments
What do you think about Fortis? They seem to be forgeted. Is the flieger f-39 a good value watch? I love the design but can´t decide if 2400 eur is well priced for the quality. Thank you and greetings from Spain
It wasn't a documentary. It was Grand Tour's Sand Job. Lovely episode, by the way.
My heart just about broke when you mentioned the price of that there Longines Flyback timepiece! 😢
I wince every time AMW posts, waiting for the watch I’m saving for to be mentioned and the ensuing Chrono24 traffic it’ll cause.
Do like that Sinn chrono,a lot .
Always wanted the Freak and especially the X
Yes, I did notice right, and probably the first as well....
This is your first video with a repaired tooth. Looks soooo much better, great investment, I can tell you. Nobody will tell you, that dark tooth should be repaired, because that is considered rude. So be it. Your choice, your decision, your looks. And yes, nobody noticed, nobody comments on it. I do. Great job. Congratulations...
It would be nice if there was a tag on Serious Watches from Drachten for their videos....
The 'Spirit of St.Louis' didn't even have a forward windscreen, so Charles Lindbergh only had side windows to look out of! No wonder he spent so much time looking at his watch!
My favourite enthusiast watch is the Doxa Sub 300 Professional
Bucherer, metal strap, nice...
I love Sinn ❤
Timex Ironman, Casio F91W, Hamilton Khaki Field Watch, Monaco Calibre 11 Automatic Chronograph, Seiko “Willard” original or Homage 🎉
I watch videos like your one just in case at some point I see a watch for sale at a place that they may not know what they have, I know chances are slim but you never know. 😅 but also to see the skill craftsmanship and differences so I know what's possible. 😉
I applaud Sinn, Longines and Bucherer for fitting two big chrono dials without butchering the numerals like IWC
Damn that Bucherer is gorgeous and useful I wish it was less expensive
I’ve owned a Sinn 358 for 7 years and it’s only 2nd to my omega😍
You should review Torsti Laine watches. Incredible independent watchmaker that isn’t charging $20k plus. Super high quality stuff!
Never been a chrono fan in any way shape or from, but that Sinn and Longines are nice. Like capital N nice. May have to broaden my horizons a bit and try one (although my tastes run a bit more blue collar in the $$$ department).
The freak x looks really nice. Where's is the latest snoopy moon swatch? 😂
Unfortunately I have Andrew Morgan Watch taste, but Ben’s watch club money 😆
I think the more likely video in 5 years' time will be, Andrew bought the Alpine Eagle, only to have sold it just before the price launched into the stratosphere 😂
Poor Piaget, not even getting remembered in the "Watches everybody forgets" list.
Really good point.
Could say the same about Eterna... Some really interesting designs, the father of ETA, but gets completely forgotten most of the time.
Laurent Ferrier: exceptional!.
Louis Erard classic quotes: "than a beaver's favourite - wood." Note how he lifts his finger, with slight hesitation. And "I want piece number fifty.." ah haa ha.
