How do you acount for slab depth when defining your beam depth? Do you define a depth that is full depth minus slab depth, but model the beam insertion point with an offset such that top of beam is flush with bottom of slab? I want to avoid double counting stiffness if we define full depth of beam (including slab depth) but then also have the slab there, too.
Sir please help me. Im about on 5th floors but i have miss the scale, could we change the scales like 1:1000 to 1:100 for the exam 1000 m to 100 m. If yes, what should i do. Thank in advance.
Could you please help to do a video for column and Shear wall design and explain the output in detail and compare with the manual method. Thanks in Advance
@@structures-rw6nj Yes we can use the shear wall design function in ETABS, but not many had carry out manual design verification on complicated shape wall.
Very thankful to you for such a nice video series on Etab. YOu are doing great job.

nice to see your engineering related video again.
thanks!
How to decide weather to use ordinary or ductile or non sway option in design overwrites??
These options for earthquake...
It will not matter in this example
@@civilmdc ok! But want it's explanation if possible pls share.

This is good. Hope you can do a verification on shear wall (T-shape / L-shape) design as well.
Noted with thanks
