@Dan Beaumont No, he's Neozealander but due to the fact that he was born in Northen Ireland ,he comes from the UK, if we want to to be accurate he need to be an Highlander , because Bond is Scottish in the novel , only Connery has scottish nationality and Moore (scottish descents) , in the other hand Pierce Brosnan is Irish (Rep of), Lezenby is Australian,Craig and Dalton are English,so...
Idk man........he has that British charm, with the accent, and the looks, and everything, but at the same time he doesn't look like someone I would cast to play a womanizing secret agent, he comes off more like a quirky scientist than anything else. I mean he sure has the looks, he looks like he could play a good Bond, it's his attitude and acting style that doesn't strike me as particularly fit for the role
Seeing Princess Diana get out of the car and waving at people and seeing Jurassic Park with the co stars of Jurassic Park just have been an experience. Princess Diana was loved by so many people. She really was the people's princess.
wow, forgot he passed away too, just watching this thinking of how so many in this short clip have died- Bob obviously, Caron Keating, Princess Diana, Richard Attenborough. Wow.
Muldoon cops the most vicious death in movie history. Seriously- watch the scene closely and contemplate what the cleaver girl actually does to him. Yikes.
Bob pecks air around him + acting more closely to the Muldoon in the book = badass. But Muldoon, even with his relatively brief role in the film, always number 1
I watch this movie every week almost, and everytime I see it I just get even more amazed of how perfect it is. The acting, the dialogue, the scenery. Every damn second is perfect.
I'm amazed at what you can stumble across on TH-cam. I remember seeing a couple of pictures of this premiere in a TV magazine in 1993 when I was a little kid and wondered what that night must have been like. Seeing everyone from Ariana Richards to Steven Spielberg all dressed up to meet Princess Diana all those years ago really took me back to the excitement of that time.
The man himself died 15 years ago, I watch this the very first time and the creature he wanted to have back is the dodo. Michael Crichton was still so freaking underrated.
Wow, Sam Niel just oozes class. Such a sophisticated gentleman. Watching him here, I'd say he could've played James Bond quite well, New Zealander or not!
he actually came close to getting cast as Bond instead of Timothy Dalton in the late 80s. There's even an audition clip of him playing Bond somewhere on TH-cam. I agree he could have been a good Bond, although imo he lacks a bit of an 'edge' for the role. But he definitely has the sophistication down.
No Sam Neil is not James Bond , he should HV been Alan Grant only , with good quality sequel ( 1997 and 2001 JP 2 and 3 were insult ) , he shd hv been part of every JP, they shd hv made at least 10 parts by now
I am so sad about Bob Peck. Sadly, he knew that he will no longer play in any upcoming JP movies, you can see how difficult was for him to answer her question about a possible new part if he will play in another JP film. I asume the woman didn't knew then about what was going on and why his character had to die in the movie. RIP, sir. You were one talented actor and a good person.
Such a more perfect time of life when cinema was still fresh and able to enchant and instill wonder and a movie's premiere could be the highlight of someone's life. And now...
- Dr Malcolm, how did you manage to change into an actor, Jeff Goldblum? - I, er, read a book or two and I got in touch with the guy. Enough to fake it. - Can you tell us what it's like going to premieres, signing autographs, getting interviewed? - It's, er, interesting stuff. It shows me that life, uh, is ultimately dangerous. Unpredictable. Uncontrollable.
Watched it with the girlfriend and her son this past summer, they had never seen it before and after the trex scene they were just sitting with their jaws on the floor 😂😂
Wow thank you for this amazing piece of history!! It makes me really miss that time when cinema was an art form so respected and classy that it used to have huge ceremonies full of very important people! It is sad that nowadays all that magic is gone.
Thank you for preserving this footage. This is the theater where I saw this movie first. Back then it was only one of a handful of THX spec cinemas in London. I miss the laser show they used to do just before the big tentpole movies.
It was way better they made John Hammond a likeable character that understands his mistakes especially since it was Richard. Rather than a cheeky annoying Jerk
