  • As we ALL know the Mten4, T4, Master and Master Pro all have display issues when in the cold.
    Some of you may have notiriced on the T4 when the display doesn't work the lights don't either. This is exhibited on both my V1 and V2 batch.
    The mten4 however the issue ONLY seems to affect the display and not the lights which is nice.
    The T4 part should be identical in both the master and master pro series I am told.
    The Mten4 is a much easier quicker fix.
    Parts should be supplied by you're dealer just ask.
    Both alienrides and freemotion sent me parts HOWEVER alien sent me a display board and river board for the lights on my T4 whereas Freemotion only sent the display fix board.

    Thank you very much for this video. I received the replacement motor and Voltage Regulator for my V1 T4 last month. I finally got started on the swap last night and got stuck with uncertainty where that replacement voltage regulator went. Mine was so heavily gobbed with silicon I thought it was soldered on until I saw this video. The size difference threw me off too. All set now though, thanks again!

    Nice video. If you do ride in more hummid or wet environments I would also recommend using dielectric grease on all pin connections they do corroded, or oxidize pretty easy and becomes problematic. Also helps make it a bit more water resistant too

    I'm shocked that Begode T4 is having problems. I thought once they changed their name from Gotway everything was going to improve 🤣.

    i just received my Master today, and bump into this display trouble right the way, I have been hearing a lots of begode quality control problem, but didn't expected it will be that fast to bump in to one, and this is my first Begode EUC. 😮‍💨

      Luckily it's just a display and has no affect on the unit itself or it's performance. Most people don't even look at the display other than turning it on or off.

    I had to change that tiny board in my Begode Master when it refused to turn off, then having disconnected the battery refused to turn on. After replacing that small board it worked for around an hour, before the display started turning off for no reason leaving the wheel running, then like before it returned to not being able to switch on again. I sent the wheel back to the dealers because I felt I was going around in circles to some extent.

    I noticed on my t4 v1 when the wheel is below 14,5 degrees the display and the lights wont turn on. When i ride and get above 14,5 degrees the rear light and front light turns on but for the display to work i have to restart the wheel

      Very interesting. I'm hoping the smaller board or at least bending the pins to make better connection work.
      My V2 is down after the repair and I'm waiting alienrides to get back to me...

    Is there a way to get total odometer mileage on these things? I’m a first time owner and have not figured that out yet. Maybe because it’s so easy on the Onewheel?

    • @EUCWayOfLife
      @EUCWayOfLife  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There should be a read out when connecting to eucworld or Begode app. I believe there is a way to completely reset the wheel to change that number back to zero tho 🤷

    Hi. Like the videos you've been making. Just wanna hear your thoughts about selecting which wheel to buy. Im trying to decide whether to get the exn or just wait for ks to eventually fix their sliders on the s22. Seeing that exn is discontinued I won't have a chance to buy it in the near future. Being that said the price isnt that much of a difference between both wheels. But seing the difference is one has more battery while the other one has suspension. Knowing gotway with their qc im not sure if the newest batch of exn has improved when it comes to waterproofing. I do have the v11 and 16 xs. Theyre both reliable and does the job but having more battery does greatly come to my consideration as an upgrade. I mostly do city riding going to work and running errands. I do plan to buy it at ewheels which has the litech batteries. I was also considering the hero, but for the price it doesnt really justify it, being its actually less battery eventhough its built like a tank, heavy and waterproof i guess. The t4 and master does come to mind but to many issues as of now. So with all that said exn or s22? And why? Sorry for the long thoughts lol.

    • @EUCWayOfLife
      @EUCWayOfLife  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The exn is tried and true reliable wheel. I am a suspension wheel person and think they are the future of wheel and it's all I own besides the mten4's.
      I love my hero one of the best more comfortable wheels I own. The T4 is also a great wheel but so far I'm not a fan of the V2. Mines currently dead. After the board swap...
      S22 is amazing many people are making CNC sliders for them now so myewheel isn't the only source anymore.
      For board issues most newer variants haven't had them, for motor issues most are addressed now.
      So between exn and s22 get the s22 no question unless range is what you're looking for get the exn slightly higher top speed to my knowledge and more range.
      I did a range test on my s22 at about 20mph flat paved trails and got about 48-49mo before extremely throttling and tilt back so not great but enough for an average user.
      The s22 is a fantastic wheel with it's adjustability from pedals to suspension geometry. It's easy of working on and it's weight to lower/range ratio. The master is about 12lbs heavier than the s22 and is about as bare bones as a stripped chicken wing.
      Hope this helps.
      Have a good one and stay beautiful!

      @@EUCWayOfLife thnx for your input. I would really preffer the suspension for safey mainly, but i feel like most of the suspensions on most wheels still needs some work on it. Sherman s do looking good though just not willing to pay for that price right now though

    • @EUCWayOfLife
      @EUCWayOfLife  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@sniperplayzgaming6073 Sherman s is a rebranded over priced Sherman with suspension imo.
      After owning the s18 with stock and coil shock, the hero with stock and coil shock, riding the v11, owning the master with stock and coil shock and the s22. 2 wheels stand out hands down.
      Hero with coil and s22. Now for the better of the 2 if youre a stout person or tall the s22 is fine but the hero is about 2.75" narrowed and much more comfortable.
      For the Sherman it has pogo stick v11 type suspension. I am not a fan of this because 1 proprietary, 2 hard to work on and 3 not easily upgradeable or modifyable... Something to keep in mind.
      Now for suspension modding the s22 has any wheel besides the s18 beat hands down no question.
      For the master mine out of the box suspension was okay. The T4 is good probably best out of the box performance all around HOWEVER I have noticed that it has been getting stiffer idk if this is due to friction with the components or the very very poorly designed linkage it shares with the begode line.
      So again if your looking at suspsneion even with paying for a slider upgrade get the s22.
      Has HUGE pedals, adjustable pedals height, adjustable suspension linkage, best lights on any suspension wheel aside for the v11(I hear), best looking tail light, metal battery casings, unique screen (I prefer over Begode displays) better and more grab points, better weight to everything ration.
      Again hope this helps haha comes at no sacrifice to you however my pockets are getting empty from this hobby/lifestyle!
