Dude, thank you!! Watched a million videos,no one said anything about the switch on the back for propane or natural gas, been trying for hours to get it to work!!
-it does not smell -it is not dangerous for household use -it works amazing -I had a gas fitter run the gas line to the location I wanted. He was leery about connecting the heater so I did that myself with a connection kid bought off of Amazon took me 10 minutes. -my mother's master bathroom was ice cold in the winter time and sometimes in the summer is she constantly had to run a small 1500 watt electric heater. Now she has a gas fireplace to look at when she's taking a bath at night. -this thing is worth every penny and is amazing value for the performance -get a carbon monoxide monitor if you're leery about the gas situation otherwise there is a zero need to worry about this thing
I'm in the 2nd season of using mine and I love it. heats the entire cabin 24/7 @ 72 for one full week, $22 dollars using a 30lb tank filled @ Tractor supply.
I just put one of these in our Master Bathroom, the master bathroom is the coldest room in our house, and when I run the heater I turn on the bath fan to take out any fumes from the gas, I just burn the heater about 10 minutes on cold morning, and no more cold bathroom ( :
Nice! I’ve gone so far as to use a propane tank hooked up to a cannon of a heater. Very loud but I’m in Canada. She gets chilly 🥶 I wonder if this would put out enough heat for my needs.
Yeah, I didn’t give the electric heater much of a chance to prove itself. But I did go with gas. I actually run both though. So I can’t give a real review on how the electric would heat the garage.
I have two of those Wall heater's and the walls don't even get warm they work phenomenal if you get one you like it 👍 hope that Will help you with your concern and your question
Turn the knob counterclockwise till it stops, push down on knob and starter button at same time. When it lights, release knob and turn counterclockwise to heat setting
I've had one in my garage for 18 years and do not see any effect on my tools. In fact right now it's 34 outside and 65 in garage and the humidity is only reading 43% which is quite dry.
Been using the NG model for over 14 years in my garage and there has never been any smell. Trust me my wife would never allow it if it was smelling up my clothes.
Don't bother to buy the fan like I did. It is mounted on the back and it is so close to the wall that there is very little air circulation. It's also nearly impossible to get your finger in there to set the on/off/auto switch. Waste of $30.00.
@@StewartMotoring You mentioned it smells, I want to use the NG Option & put in my Master Bedroom, approximately 24 x 14, 8' Ceiling. Will the smell be over powering or just similar to my Gas Fireplace?
I guess we'll just ignore the paper user guide/manual that was left hanging on the back of the heater when installed on the bracket... 😳😬 For an unvented gas heater, you really should have a CO detector/alarm. That stuff is deadly, odorless, and if/when you realize the effects of asphyxiation, it may be too late. Even better, use a direct-vent heater like the Ashley Hearth DVAG30N. Unfortunately, it's about $700 more than the Dyna-Glo, but you wouldn't need to worry about CO poisoning or smelly hair/clothes.

I love your garage. The paint colors are amazing. I just bought the same heater.

Have you noticed whether it puts out a lot of moisture like the little buddy heaters do?
I'm here 2 years later but what i did was place a small fan on a shelf above and skip the unit's extra fan.

What's red pin for
Why did you skip the gas hook up, that's the one thing i need to see. =[
will this run on diesel? I mean I have 150 gallon on my tank and I would like to install this direct to the tank
I have 150gallon of home heating oil. Can i use that to this product?
I have a dyna-glo external thermostat, Can you install an external thermostat to control the dyna-glo heater, room temp for the natural gas heater
Might want to call the manufacturer
So I saw the AC/ heater install video, then this one. Was ur other heater not good enough? Probably costly due to electric.

How hot does the wall around it get? I want to put one in my finished basement but I worry about the drywall.

I've had one on my garage wall and it does not heat the wall at all. All the heat comes out the top front side.
Wish you would’ve showed how you actually started the thing
Turn the knob counterclockwise till it stops, push down on knob and starter button at same time. When it lights, release knob and turn counterclockwise to heat setting
Will I need ventilation if I use propane?
Question... should the pilot flame just stay on at all times or does it need to be shut off when not in use??
Thank you!!
Pilot flame should stay on if your heater has thermostat.
I heard that the ventless units cause your tools to get rusty, is that true? Also what's the square footage of your garage?
Any gas heater will significantly increase the humidity in the room
I've had one in my garage for 18 years and do not see any effect on my tools. In fact right now it's 34 outside and 65 in garage and the humidity is only reading 43% which is quite dry.
$199 ?!? It’s $299 at Lowes, 12-20-22. You sure about that price. No Menards in N.C. Maybe we need some.
Just got one 10,000 BTU's at Menards on sale for $179. 11/19/23
Been using the NG model for over 14 years in my garage and there has never been any smell. Trust me my wife would never allow it if it was smelling up my clothes.
That’s odd. If I turn it on for 30 seconds it stinks up everything. Which is why I’m going with a vented unit soon.
Have you noticed if it is dry heat or does it put out a lot of moisture like the little buddy heaters do?
I had it installed by someone....and now I'm worried they didn't change it to NG...
Will it work with NG if it's accidentally set to propane???
Big time no no
Don’t catch your house on fire.
do they all glow ? or just a few at a time depending on the setting
I believe they all glow

Does it smell?. Wanting to put it in my basement.
Yea does smell pretty bad. Like I can work with it in the garage but my clothes and hair will smell when I go inside.

I use the NG option and there is no smell at all.
Do you have the model # I can only find NG or LP not one with both hookups
Thanks for showing us how to light it. Smh
