As a junior in highschool I have been struggling on what I want to do but now I really want to become a kindergarten teacher or a preschool teacher because kids click with me and I'm so happy to see people loving teaching and loving what they do 💚

I like watching these days in my life on other careers, that's great that you chose to become a teacher! I wanted to be a teacher but seeing the stress, salary, and the amount of hard work my teachers did, I decided not to go that route, but more power to you for becoming a teacher! I will be in law school for the Fall 2023 semester and plan to go into Biglaw. Hope to see more of these vlogs!! Awesome video!!
I was also in my first year of teaching last year and in Kindergarten!! I was just watching your room setup and loved seeing your room go from empty to warm and inviting. When you said you wanted to vlog weekly I said "yeah right" 🤣 Only because I know it was way too crazy to be doing that!! I couldn't even keep up with my monthly parent newsletter after... September 🤦♀️🤣

Ever since I was little o wanted to be a teacher always changed my mind but when I went to help out at a Bible school and got to spend the day with kindergartners and teach them I loved it and found my passion again

I spent the better part of 5 years traveling around Latin America, and I became fluent in Spanish at 25 years of age. I am currently enrolled in an alternative teaching program to teach Spanish, but as I will be around 8 months to get into the classroom, I've decided to get my CDL. A company will be paying for my training and I will be creating videos during the process and sharing as much as I can for everyone else out there interested in driving! I begin on the 31st.
I would like to teach now, but I have not been able to find any districts that will allow me to teach without a license. For reference, I'm in Ohio!

Hey from Germany. I have seen a few videos about American kindergartens and I’m always so surprised how much it’s different from our kindergartens/ nursery schools. Here kids attend from the age of 1 (usually) up to 6. Our rooms don’t look like classrooms at all. They are more like play rooms.. the last few years I mostly worked with pre schoolers. I wish I would be able to have a “class room” for them so the transition into primary school is easier. I even had to argue about having a chair for each kid since that is usually not the case.
Oh and the interactive whiteboard 😍😍😍 I wanted to get that for the pre school room too. But our provider denied the request since it’s too expensive. I want to bring our day care closer to digitalization but Germany is actually VERY behind when it comes to that.
What degree do you need in the US to work as a kindergarten teacher? Do you have to go to Uni?
Here it’s called educator, which gives us the possibility to work with people from the age of 0 till 27. And we don’t have to go to college or university. It’s more like an apprenticeship.
Is there a shortage of nursery teachers in America as well? Right now we’re struggling, both in schools and kindergartens.

To be a Kindergarten teacher you do have to go to college/university. It is a 4 year degree in education. Your certification would be early childhood or elementary education. Yes there is a shortage over here for sure.
What time do your students get to school??? Ours come in at 6:50!
6:50! That’s ghastly! That’s an hour earlier than most schools I’m at.
I go to school at 7:45 and the bell rings at 8:00
