I live in New York and it is the same way at all of my local stores. Store's aren't stocking that much new hot wheels anymore and the pegs are bare or completely empty and all that is left hanging is peg warmers or they keep putting out the same old stuff over and over again. It is definitely getting a whole lot more harder nowadays than ever before to find new hot wheels at the stores anymore. But I did get lucky the other day at a couple of my local grocery stores I found the custom 1953 Chevy regular treasure hunt and the 1968 Mazda Cosmo sport super treasure hunt and I did find a couple of other things but besides that there hasn't been that much of new hot wheels at all out there lately.
In Western Australia we’re still only getting B case. I’ve seen C case in the last few dats at a couple of places. I don’t remember the last time I saw any premiums. I can’t believe Mattel made the red Camaro a chase in that new 5 set. Honestly it’s the only one worth getting...and it’s never there. Very disappointing.
I think the problem is Mattel is making so much money they just don’t care. Those Wallys look just like mine - like the pegs are suspended in time lol It’s very discouraging and definitely having an effect on collecting at least for me but like I said doesn’t seem like they’ll care until it’s too late.
@@99Vood99 no question that’s a big part of it. But I’m talking mainlines not just supers and THs. The inventory here is months old and stale. Where are all the new cases hiding?!
@@jRose0768 oh I don't even bother with STH and TH, it's the mainlines being snatched up immediately just as you described. Pegs filled with multiples of the same undesirable fantasy castings. It's virtually impossible to get that many so it's obvious that product on clearance at different stores or online purchases are being returned.
MDC, your stores in Montreal are still 100X better than ours in Ontario. The employees and resellers have completely messed up the inventory over here. Some of them are returning items from 2018 to buy the newer stuff - so as far as the stores are concerned there's product in the store therefore replenishments should not be ordered.
@@mtldiecastcafe absolutely terrible, no premiums on the pegs - just the Mandalorian stuff and the Torino/Chevelle stuff for almost a year now. The mainlines I think are from the B or C case but there's junk from early last year. Total disaster - I look forward to your videos. 😂😂
My shops around the GTA are dire. I don’t bother with Toys R Us anymore. Ancient inventory at top, top dollar. A Dollarama nearby just dropped C case…from 2019! It’s worse than the peak of the pandemic. Just brutal. Absolutely brutal…

They do care, but their inventory is being gamed by employees and professional resellers.
