I'll never forget one of my playthroughs of Road Rash 2 after I had rented it...Summer 1993...The Hawaii track...Me and a motorcycle officer launched off a hill at the exact same instant...and I perfectly bashed him off his bike while in mid-air, sending him flying...while I cruised onward to First Place...
Hells yeah. There was such a satisfying sound to a well placed CRACK on an opponents helmet. It just felt like pure joy. Nothing better than riding up on an opponent who's just minding his own business cruising and SMACK...right about the head. I could never imagine just driving cordially like he's doing in the beginning of the video. I was the nastiest bastard on the road from second one to second done.

@panicman10 Oh yeah, it's great, but I'm way too used to the crowbar. It has a _little_ bit more airtime, and you can just _catch_ some jackass with it when he's trying to pass you.
Oh, yeah.. childhood adrenaline.. and frustration.. Memory codes didn't work on my sega genesis so I'd had to start the game over and over again.. Which I'd always try! Long Live Road Rash!!
I wonder if current EA would understand what made Road Rash good. Road Redemption for example, imho, got it all wrong. Focus totally on combat... looks like Mario Kart. Road Rash was about RACING in narrow roads. You could win without combat. And we would choose WHO to kick and punch. Like, I always avoided beating Natasha.
I always felt like road rash 2 was superior because of couple things i liked about the gameplay Was altered in 3. 1.the game got faster, but you passed the opponents too quickly,in part 2 you didn’t justt wiz past other riders, they hanged with you for miles until you beat the snot out of them or took turns at better angles.giving u extra speed 2.the bike started skidding too quickly.in part 2 the bike didn’t start skidding until you was holding to the extreme with a turn. 3.the music was more memorable. The cd, versions went all the way extreme with these points and I thought it was complete disaster.! I could never understand people love for those cd based road rash games. Even road rash 3d i loved it until I realized ea continued the trend...all they had to do was not make to so easy to pass opponents & have them hanging on side by side with you.. Until you out run them with good angles and turning thay slowes you down less than them or beat the life out them
In my experience, going between the three- and the CD port of the 3DO version, RR3 just takes more... finesse. Atleast on the turns. But yes, they screwed something up when it comes to rider aggression- something they actually nailed in CD. It's just a shame everything else is just so... haphazard in that version, compared to this one.
@@ТАДАМ-ю4ж road rash 2 was better in the gameplay department. Road rash 3 was better visually and had a more 3d look n feel. But road rash 2 was more fun. Because u didn’t just whiz past opponents. They hang with u and u had to fight them off. In 3 they don’t hang with you
@@48hourrecordsteam45 bro what are you talking about, when you was kid you playing with your family and in 9/10 situations you cant even came 1st or 2nd, everybody were hanging with you , fighting and all that
The second was way better, look those pixelated sprites, and the compressed music, they wanted to fit more content but it resulted in far inferior game
The music is awesome, it was a different sound driver. Yeah those prerendered graphics aren't as great as the pixel art of the first too, still a really fun game.
Yeah I also prefer the second one.. The music in RR3 is like... A vacuum cleaner or something.. Very strange! Sometimes, developers bite more than they can chew. Too much ambition!
No. I have never played this game. I can tell you it sucks. The graphics are ugly. The sound is worse. Without ever playing the game I can say the controls are horrible and unresponsive. Everytime I see a glowing review about Road Rash for the Sega Genesis, I cringe. All the positive comments must be from EA staff members. Fuck this garbage.
I fondly remember playing this game on the Sega Channel, a true classic, my favorite road rash game.
С этой игрой связаны тёплые моменты детства.
Ahhh that crude metallic noise the crowbar made when hitting somebody was just pure relief to the violence needs of my child self. Beautiful.
Ever get the nunchucks? I _love_ that wooden 'clonk' sound it makes when you clock someone with 'em.
I like the cattle prod. The sound was weirdly satisfying.
