It sounds like Piggly Wiggly, Hinky Dinky, and Big Bear were very proactive in knowing what customers wanted. With any store, however, it is often how the chain is managed that can seal its fate. Thanks for uploading this video:)
i used to think books about manifestation were just fluff until my friend wouldn’t stop talking about Vibrations of Manifestation by alex lane. i thought it was gonna be one of those “just think positive” things, but it’s deeper than that-it’s about the energy you’re putting out and how it shapes what comes back. my friends who read it are legit more focused and are actually pulling in opportunities and relationships they’ve wanted for years. not saying it’s magic, but it’s clicked for a lot of people i know-might click for you too.
My great grandma loved Big Bear. She was sad when the Big Bear out at Town and Country closed. The store sat empty for many years before being torn down. Several times when I was at the Kroger across the street I noticed the big neon Bear mysteriously was on. I also had an old store directory of that place. IDK if i still have it now or not, might go looking for it sometime soon.
i kept hearing about Vibrations of Manifestation by alex lane from my friends, and honestly, i thought it was just another trendy self-help book. but when they started landing jobs they thought were impossible and reconnecting with things they’re passionate about, i had to pay attention. it’s not just “be positive” stuff; it’s more about aligning with what you actually want in life. if you’re stuck or feeling off, maybe it’s the nudge you need-it’s worked for people around me.
The Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company, Inc. (A & P), then, the parent company of Waldbaums, Pathmark, SuperFresh, Food Basics and its flagship chain A & P, were all run right into the ground. ☹️
you ever meet those people who just seem to attract the right stuff without even trying? i found out a bunch of my friends like that all read Vibrations of Manifestation by alex lane, and now i kinda get it. it’s not about wishful thinking-it’s about aligning your energy with what you really want and trusting the process. since reading it, they’re more grounded and attracting the right people and chances into their lives. if you’re feeling like things aren’t flowing right, this might be worth a look-you never know, it could help turn things around.
Ok, being from California, I have never heard of any of these stores….except Piggly-Wiggly, but have never been in one. We lost Mayfairs and Thrifty-marts
Hi Marshall, Love your YT channel. I wanted to email you with this but could not see an address for you. The issue is that I download the vids to watch them as my internet connection is not good enough to stream. In the last few months I have notice that the vids are downloading with German commentary. Have you changed anything with your video production?? I have checked all my language settings in YT, all are set to UK english. Many thanks
not gonna lie, i thought manifestation was overhyped until a friend gave me Vibrations of Manifestation by alex lane. i wasn’t expecting much, but everyone i know who read it started making these real changes-they’re more focused, more aware of their energy, and opportunities they’ve been chasing are finally coming through. it’s not a magic answer, but it opens your eyes to what you’re putting out there. if you’re feeling stuck, it might help shift things for you too.
so my friends kept talking about this book Vibrations of Manifestation by alex lane, and at first, i was like, “yeah, okay, another manifestation book.” but then i started noticing how much was changing for them-one finally got the opportunities they’d been waiting on, and another straight up started their own business. it’s not flashy or anything, but you can tell their whole vibe is different. it’s wild how something so subtle can feel so real. if you’re curious, maybe check it out-it’s not for everyone, but it hit different for them.
100% agree. I miss the Crystal Lake location. I remember waiting in line just to say hi to Mom's favorite cashier, Faith. The stories she told about Safeway.

We had a Piggly Wiggly in Fort Worth, Texas. It left by the mid-1980's. I used to call it "Porky Pig's".
We had some piggly wiggly stores in Rockford. I called them Hogly Wogly.
Thanks for the memories of classic grocery stores no longer around.🌇🏪🌃
A&P, Dominick's and National are sorely missed around here 😟

No matter...prices are thru the roof from this hyperinflationary Obiden economy.

So sick of AI.
Not mentioneed here but Dominicks in the Chicago area. Safeway really screwed them up.
I think I mentioned them in a previous video talking about the same topic. Completely agree with your thoughts
