- Have you ever wondered what a Protogen is, or where it comes from? I do my best to explain all of this information to you, with the help of documents provided by Cool Koinu on her Patreon page, and the help of the ZOR Discord admins that helped me write this!
Protogens are some of the coolest species I've seen lore-wise, and I want to do my best to represent them as best I can. Their lore is already so rich!

Not a furry but the lore behind some of these species the fandom has come up with intrigues me. Makes me somewhat respect the furry fandom since they can come up with such deep lore.

The most interesting thing I've learned about Protogens is that while they are physically impressive, without their visor they could be taken down by someone coughing nearby.
Yes, but the visor is not so fragile. With a small-caliber weapon, it will be difficult to kill an ordinary protogen.
also that without their visor their faces don’t really have skin. Or a mouth really. Or, like anything more than just some flesh goo, I imagine (all from something Malice did) that it looks sort of like when you leave a band-aid on for too long

I have a friend that loves the look of furries and I saw this and sent it to her.
Now she wants to try and make lore for another type of “fur creature” as someone said when hearing the idea.
We both absolutely love this.

I just recently learned about the world of Protogens. I've been a furry fan for quite a while, but protogens take it to the next level. Your video gave me an almost excessive amount of information to feed my thirst for more on protogens. I appreciate what you have done for us and I think this channel needs more love and attention. i first learned of their existence when someone was ranting about closed species and i was like woah daft punk furries.
When i first found out what they are i actually was agaist furries for some reason but youtube recommended me a video from jting-f and i was like woah fuck theres gamer furries

I learnt and saw one 6 year's ago on a meme animation, I was very intrigued by the design
This still leaves me with so many questions, like how long is the lifespan of a protogen in an ideal environment? If the limbs are replaceable, how do you keep the limbs biological components alive while detached? If the limbs are just held on by a magnet, does that mean that a strong enough electromagnetic field will just cause the protogen's limbs to just pop off?
This video has totally helped me understand protogens I only learned from my own research on google but this helped fully understand them. Thank you for making this video I'll send it to anyone that is having hard time understanding what a protogen is. Ty for the content and and I'll shout out to you helpers that they did good job also.

The protogens I come across in VR chat always seem so chill. Furries in general are by far the chillest rooms in vrchat. Chiller than the sleep rooms.

I'd love to see some stories of what happened to the rares.
I recently discovered the lore of those magnificent fictional creatures, and both liking the fandom and being a sucker for sci-fi stuff and biological-technological connections, I easily fell in love with the concept of protogens. To the point that my head started to think about a story. I have a couple of characters in mind, but I have to come up with something consistent plotwise yet. So I started questioning myself.
Being them both badass looking and both artificially-created life, and able to travel from planet to planet, I'd like to show a lot of stuff. But. Since it's not something I originally created, I'm struggling with some points. For example, Primagens are a closed species and I by no means intend to violate their rules, so I suppose creating those characters for the sole story purpose is out of debate. And I'm completely fine with that. It would be a lot easier for me to create an alternative version of them with no conceptual differences but with slight modifications, such as "creators" being either only referenced by this name by the creatures or substituted with other entities that are not owned by a specific person and therefore are not a closed species. I also wanted to include other life forms in this little project such as humans for example, which they make contact with. Nothing else will be changed, as the original lore is absolutely interesting to me.
It really does sound like I'm stealing something. So I'm sorry.
And I probably have to ask the direct creator of the species so I can be 100% sure, idk.

Everyone is like “I’m a fighter pilot, I’m a sniper” then there is me with My character Light Utility Y5535 or ULY5535 or Ulysses (Uly to his friends) who is just a miner missing allot of his original pieces who usualy is alone with his pet lizard on a mining platform out in an asteroid belt. I would like to imagine he has full self awareness but he likes his job

I’d like to think “illegal” protogens are just protos who are too conscious for the progenitors taste (or whatever they’re called). I certainly know I don’t follow their laws.
But then I'm an illegal Primagen. So what would I be then?

The one thing that annoyed me was the nanite manipulation being a rare trait only, since my proto's whole thing was that she could manipulate her nanites out of her body to interact with machinery and form weapons and shit. I think I have a good workaround for it that might even let her "become" a rare in the future, but I'm still ticked that I had to do that in the first place.
What if you had your Protogen be able to invent nanites that she can manipulate, like the robots from Big Hero Six, I feel a Protogen could do that, but the story is up to you , so keep you determination, and keep thinking. I'm also writing about my Protogen, he can use his blood as weapons, platforms, or simple limbs.
I know it's to keep the species in set guides because of "special models" but like- I don't know why that is one of them, it's seems useful

Idea: rare protogen who uses the nanites to effectively be a fluffy senator armstrong.
This gives me so much ideas for my renegade covert Protogen ... but i must know: are Weapon-arms (like in my case arms with gauntlet-like hands with claws and internal low energy shotguns) possible? Since it was stated that arms are chengeable but not with highly specialised ones exist.
Yes weapon arms and weapon arm attachments are allowed. so long as they can carry the weight.
@@trejartheprimagen5530 thanks a lot now i can build her the way i imagined her. Also the gauntlets are made of a light weighted alloy which is the reason while, yes those shotguns and claws can kill, no the can't be used against highly protected/armored/shielded targets that efficently.

I’m not a furry, and only found this video because my friend who is one won’t stop asking me to watch this, but this lore is really good.
One this I love of this fandom is the music people put over their videos. That intro was amazing, and now every time I listen to that song, I’ll think of this masterpiece.

My buddy is a game dev and he watched this with me and said he wanted to make a game that'd be essentially Protogens + Scrap Mechanic and call it Protomechanic. I got excited for a sec, then he said he didn't have the time or money for it and pry wouldn't make much of a profit but it was fun to think about. Boy if i wasn't broke i'd pay to have a game like that made, XD

I just became an illegal Primagen in the furry fandom after seeing how awesome of a species they are. I still like Protogens though. They're nice.
Note: Primagens are closed species so that's why I'm an illegal one (didn't pay for it)

He's not a full-on Protogen but a wolf, however thanks to your info I made it so he has a few Protogen augmentations that he got accurate to the lore. This is the most amount of lore I've seen around one species
In my oc's universe lore.
One of my protogen character was created by a Synthetic human who was an agent for the military got assassigned to a general of special forces and he made him go an experimental operation to get turned into a Protogen
18:00 this is intriguing but also terrifying in a way. My headcanon puts this as some sort of old combat protocol activated during desperate measures when war was still raging on. Often activated when there was no sign of backup, rescue, or avenues of escape. The effects of this protocol takes a toll on the proto to the point where death is almost certain. If they do manage to survive, something is likely left irreparably damaged. Now the old protocol is just remade into a malware virus/hack

I have a “Fuzzy Feeling” I only yesterday came to terms with myself being… a furry… I was against being a furry a while ago, then I met @Sky_1300 he’s a great friend (he’s also a furry). After a year or so of talking to him as a friend, trying new things with him, and just generally having a good time with him.., I started noticing odd feelings with myself, I lied to myself saying it was just knowing one of his biggest secrets (I ain’t telling) I told someone but that didn’t help at all… so I told that same person about my fuzzy feeling, luckily they were with me, I am still coming to terms with myself but I’m getting more used to being a furry, This was not a new thing… When I was younger I had a fantasy, to be able to turn into a purple-pink cybernetic wolf, (basically a protogen) I didn’t know what a protogen was until recently, when I meant sky… He’s helping me through this right now…
At this time of age. I cannot live without a real actual show/movie of the Protogens and their lore

Edit: This video almost had a documentary-esque appearance, with the way Raeal presented it. The music had that futuristic aesthetic adding to the overall atmosphere of the video and making it more engaging. and i believe 20 minutes is a really good time frame as it isn't too long or too short, all the information was cleverly condensed into that 20 minutes, making for a really entertaining experience. I feel like protogens are legitimately more than just 'a furry species', with the expanded lore information, Zenith's Outer Reach should probably be considered to that of many popular franchises such as Star Wars and Star Trek. And c'mon, Protogens are just cool in general, just imagine being able to flip off someone you don't like with just your nanite visor face and then detaching your arm and yeeting it at them for extra sarcasm.

I think one of my online Furry friends has slowly converted me into a Furry or has gotten me really fascinated with Furry culture. I am not upset about it all. I've heard a lot of bad stories about Furries. But much like any other fandom, there are good people and bad people.
