Thank you both so much for the honest reaction and discussion. I'm the son of an amazing single mother, and she used to play this song in the house when I was young. We're both pretty happy now, and I hope she wasn't too unhappy then. Sometimes sad songs can just be a good outlet, and you feel like someone out there gets what you're going through.
Dan Seals did the song "Addicted" about a woman who can't let go of a man who doesn't love her the way she loves him. It is beautifully written and performed.
Dan's a great talent. In the 70's he played with England Dan and John Ford Coley, with hits like "Nights are Forever Without You", and " I'd really like to see you tonight". His brother is Jim Seals from Seals and Crofts, who brought us " Summer Breeze". So much talent from one family. RIP Dan.
Good songs should be able to touch on all your emotions. Dan Seals had many songs to do just that. If you want to be inspired about love for your fellow man listen to his song 'Love Is the Answer' that was from his England Dan career. If you want a fun and uplifting song listen to his song "Bop'. Dan Seals did a great duet with Marie Osmond called 'Meet Me In Montana'. Another touching song of his is 'One Friend' Thanks to you guys for being genuine people.
I am an old man who never cries, but this song brings me so close. Single dad raising his daughter while mom left for the bigtime sung with Dan's mournful tone. "Everybody said you'd make it big someday/And I guess that we were only in your way/But someday I'm sure you're gonna know the cost/'Cause for everything you win, there's something lost."
I sponsored Dan Seals concerts a couple of times to do concerts in our town. He put on a great concert and is very down to Earth. Not demanding at all of his back stage requirements.
The song is about a family that competes in rodeos and they travel around the country (the circuit). The wife apparently chose to chase her career and left the family behind.
It’s ok. God bless you. My father was always there for me. My mother left. It’s not always the man. I like both of you. You are very considerate folks.

Beautiful reaction. These songs can be cathartic for people going through these type of situations.
I wish you two were my mom and dad. You are a terrific couple.
Your reaction is exactly why you are both so likeable as reactors.
He has such a nice voice. I hadn't heard this song in so long. ❤ Stay safe
He had a great duet with Marie Osmond called Meet Me in Montana. You would like the message of that song.
Love your reactions, your insight, and the way you communicate with each other. You guys made me cry AGAIN!
It happened to me when I was a kid and it happened to me with my ex wife and my son. It’s heartbreaking 💔.
You can’t play the song without watching the video
As a young, stupid mom...parts of this song are me😢❤

This is one where it's too bad that you didn't view the video. It definitely adds to the experience.

You don't have to say a thing Andre, you can see it on your face!
😢 This song always makes me cry.
You guys are great!
❤❤
It’s true.
He had a great career in the seventies as well as a duo. Great singer songwriter. He went back to his roots.
You can check out England Dan and John Ford Coley!
This reaction is gold
Dan Seals had many good songs. My old yellow car, You still move me, and many more.
It's Really sad for Your Son,but Had his father stayed in your life you wouldn't have Andre Today, God works in mysterious ways 🙏
💚🤍💛☘️🇺🇲
Dan seal's was such a great talent rip ❤
Would you check out Jennifer rush , the power of love , original video
It says SoldOut when I try to request a song. Are you overly busy?
My guess is that they only take so many requests to keep from getting overwhelmed. Check back the next day and they may be open again.
It would be better if you talked less in the middle and left the heavy talking for the end for to not break the flow of the song.
