I bought a used akai mini And it has dead keys And I want to try it tonight If it works for me, I'll come back to this channel and subscribe immediately.
Thanks for this video mate, its cool & pretty sure this is definitely a big help to those who have this kind of issue with their Akai mpk mini as well... cheers😉👍
hey man! thanks for the video. i gotta ask something. i have one totally dead key and one with some issues like rarely working. the problem is i dont see these keys are sending signals at all. do you think its still about the dirt?
peace! yeah I do think its about the dirt.. my keyboard had very little dirt on it and I was like "wow that's it" because it was so little.. but I cleaned it up nice and they ALL work now... its crazy.. the only other electric connectors on the board is the primary one to the keys and yeah, I guess they're just super sensitive.. clean it well, it should work like new again
Great video man. I have a question and I'm sure I can do it but I just thought I would ask. So my question is can I just get rid of the keys and just use the drum pads and knobs? The reason is because I have this same keyboard as this one in the video and all they keys the keys fell off so I'm just deciding to turn it into a drum pad and knobs machine. Let me know what you think if I would work
cool question, I'm sure if the receiver pads are still active you could use them as drum pads, sounds like your machine is parts at this point so its worth a try
Now I can explain why these keys break, they are identical to the ones found on the cheapest keyboards, I mean they are joined by plastic and do not have a shaft like those of korg, in the yamaha psr series keyboard they used that type and they broke, a disappointment this okay, the behringer umx has a much better quality keyboard

is it okay to use alcohol with the qtip?
I would go for it, it doesn't need to be dripping wet though

for suree, the machine is cheaply made, but also cheap to buy, and if you fix it its like you got two for the price of one
Akai mini worst midi keyboard I have bought two and they both have dead keys within months of buying. Horrible product
I wouldn't say its horrible, its a cheap entry level midi and does what it needs to I suppose, quick fix in this case
