PodGo user here. The first thing I've noticed when trying the new cabs in that the response is very very similar to real cabinets. Like Damned! This sounds reaally good!
100% agree with you on hating going through IR packs.... With the new cabs and mic placement options I feel like I can dial in a sound I like in minutes on any amp.
Love Line6. This new update fixes everything I thought was missing in the Pod Go. How lucky am I to have a Helix and a Pod Go wireless 😊 Thank you, Steve 👍 Yes, more, please 😮
A Pog GO is essentially the same price at the HX One with a good expression pedal. Kind of a no brainer if you're looking for the cheapest bang for your buck and you can't afford/find a used HX Stomp/Stomp XL
The Boss OC-2 which is emulated in the "Boctaver" isnt a bass octaver like you said its for both guitar and bass, i have the actual stomp box myself since the 80´s and have used it both on guitar and bass but mostly on guitar and i think its great effect to beef up the tone in for example an intro with just solo guitar.
Indeed they do Steve. However, keep sending the PodGo love. Other TH-camrs PodGo shame us🤣. Would love to see video of you gigging the PodGo@@SteveSterlacci
I would definitely switch from the ampero stomp 2 to one of these. Only problem I still have with the pod go is that the signal chain is very limited. The ampero has much more flexibility in that area
Im glad I watched this. I didnt update the Pod go EDIT- and it wont connect…. BOOM. Issue fixed and the new cabs rock! 😂. Love your tele w the Rotary & Chorus! Cheers🍁🍂
Thanks to you I’m trying out the Pod-Go for my next live gig. I’m very interested in using the expression pedal too. With all my downsizing it’s ironic I’m replacing my Helix Floor because it’s too big and heavy 😂
I would like a HIwatt cab in the new engine. Hiwatt cabs usually sound a little different (at least in all the sims I've tried) and it's was interesting to try a Hiwatt cab with a Marshall or whatever. I've never played through a real Hiwatt amp/cab, but I'm guessing the real sound of Hiwatt head is closer with a Hiwatt cab.
It's definitely a good update, for sure. I always wanted to vibe with the Pod Go, but the stock cabs really left a lot to be desired. The sound effects that they added are alright, I certainly think you can get carried away with almost any of the chorus type of facts and make it sound really bad really quick. A little seems to go a long way. Also, more fuzz is always welcome when you're trying to play jimmy.
If you haven't updated to 2.0 , DEFINITELY do it offline with a download of both the 2.0 update AND the Line 6 Updater !!!! When you have both downloaded , run the updater and it will walk you through everything else.
Very clever timing, blk nvmbr and stuff...this def puts the pod go back on top of the list for my portable road rig. Bte just recently discovered your channel, love it
Hi STEVE , i wonder how are the FOOTSWITCHES on your HX STOMP / XLs holding up? 🙄🙄 i read a lot about people having problems / malfunctioning - where you have to press them twice to trigger the function youve selected... thanks, Alex.
@@SteveSterlacci thanks !! Good to know ! Weird thing is I now tried the 2nd Stomp XL that had this problem -> if I assign Snapshot1 to the left lower footswitch (usually Bank down) It doesn’t work correctly every other time. If I assign a stomp on/off to the same footswitch it works flawlessly. 🧐 But thanks for getting back to me ! 🙂
My pod go kept locking up. Not reliable enough for me. Customer support was lacking. Just told me to reset, then next time reset. Got old and they could not work out the bugs. DONT RELEASE UNTIL THE BUGS ARE WORKED OU!
I am looking at getting a multi FX pedal to use with my tone master deluxe reverb. But also as well plug in with headphones at night... i am looking at this and the boss GX-100 what would you prefer and why.
Ive never spent a lot of time with the newer boss stuff, but the pod go sounds every bit as good as the flagship helix within its restrictions. I think pod go is the best bang for buck unit
@@SteveSterlacci i watched a few vids on the hx stomp and a few of the people preferred the pod go in them as well.. i had the boss me70 years ago and liked it but i know how boss is with updates on there flagship stuff and helix has been updating the pod go since it came out...
I am having problems with this update. I downloaded the install files and backed up, installed 2.0 but had to reinstall all of the IR's for acoustic pre-sets when I reloaded them Later whilst rehearsing the display kept changing between modes with the effects buttons flashing in and out of the display. Very disconcerting if this had been happening at a gig. I will reset and revert to the earlier version if this continues
I would swap all this update for Poly Detune, since I loaded with IR my POD Go,no big deal for me with the new cab system. But i guess Detune is too power hungry and would not work.
@@SteveSterlacci lol, i guess I was thinking a preset build video with that model. I'm working on parameter changes and/or snapshots to get a versatile patch with clean, crunch, lead, ambient and not need a drive pedal.
Short answer, yes. We can get into a lengthy argument for both sides. If I make the IRs how I want them, then great, but sifting through packs of hundreds to find my sound, vs just physically doing it, always wins out for me
That’s a hardware thing. Open it up (unplugged please) if c124 has no component then yes it’s fixed. If not contact L6 and they will service it for you.

@AH-hc5rm thats an interesting question. I dont see why you couldn't, but idk of any programs that would let it work how you're asking. Id ask in the facebook group. Theres some clever cats in there

It is crazy how line 6 sells all these different pedals/modelers and you can never plug one in and go through factory presets and say wow! It is always, these sound terrible!
