I love how counterplay appears in time scrambles, because you really don't have time to analyze and asses the situation with every line calcualted. But it's almost beautiful to catch the window of counterattack.
I did see Re8 but thought it'd only delay the inevitable. In the time scramble I'd have lost all the same because it didn't occur to me that Re8 was a saving move because I didn't consider that taking the rook would remove the defender from the other rook.
Awsome video. Btw i've thought in a what if scenario where the opponent in one of his moves had moved his f pawn so that he could do a rook exchange and avoided his certain loss.

It was upsetting watching Eric not take h2 on a couple occasions. Rather than move his rook up for his last move, his opponent could've played h3 and been fine. Thanks to Eric for helpin teach me gambits and I've been playing the London quite a bit because of him.

I've actually been messing around with Qe7 instead of Bb6 in this line. Engines rate it only slightly worse, but the best moves against it seem a bit trickier to find. Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to play it against humans much. Curious to know if anyone else has studied/tried it

The pawn on g4 was defending the h3 tile, and since Erics queen was on the g file, it would have been dangerous to say the least.
