Serena is very difference from the other past female traveling companions because she never get angry, scold, criticise or get irritated by Ash's annoying behaviour except once when Ash yelled at her to leave him alone after he lost the Gym battle at Snowbelle Gym. Apart from that she often more worried about Ash whether it's training, being reckless and in his Gym battle compare to Ash's past female friends like Misty, May, Dawn and Iris who were never worried too much about Ash's battle skills although they sometimes criticise him.
Well, Ash doesn't have an annoying behavior, but I agree that Serena is different from Misty, May, Dawn and Iris and for everything you explained about her relationship with Ash and Ash's relationship with his previous female travelling companions. And that's why Serena fits perfectly to be Ash's girlfriend and his future wife too.

Technically, Ash has known Serena far longer than any other female travelling companion since they met as younger kids around Bonnie's age. Ash actually bought her a gift, which he didn't do for the other female companions. The only reason why he's not reciprocating the feelings is simple... Because he's a dense 10-year-old boy. Bonnie actually stated that herself before calling Clemont dense as well. So, I believe he DOES reciprocate the feelings, but doesn't realize it. Girls mature faster than boys do, so Serena realizes her own feelings and Ash doesn't realize his feelings. However, because Pokémon refuses to let him grow up, I don't think that we'll ever see them get together.

Ash maybe very good at training his Pokemon, battling and improved his skills as a Pokemon trainer but the only thing that he's bad at and that is failing to notice any girls have feelings for him like Misty, Anabel, Angie, Serena and Miette. The problem with Ash is that while he does show a lot of emotion in the series but the only emotion that he never experience or understand is love unlike his friends who do know what loves is while Ash continued to be clueless.

Hear me out. I DON'T hate Drew. In fact, I think he was a very good rival to May (he certainly looks like Henry Cavill when compared to Harley (who I'd describe as evil). Essentially Drew is to May what Gary and Paul are to Ash and I would even go as far as to describe Drew as being Trip done RIGHT in many ways. And that's the thing: I buy into May and Drew being RIVALS, but not lovers, especially with Drew, while certainly friendlier towards May than Harley ever was, often saying how inferior she is as a Co-ordinator (his equivalent of Paul calling Ash and his Pokémon "pathetic") or would annoy her like Gary used to often annoy Ash. If anything, May's dynamic/rivalry with Drew is more IMO akin to Sonic's dynamics with Shadow and Jet in SA2 and Sonic Riders respectively). Meanwhile, while Ash and May sometimes argued, in particular in the Bitter the Better Episode, they had a very strong bond. From the first time they had encountered Team Magma, to their support for one another (e.g. when May lost her focus after being humiliated by Harley at their first encounter, Ash shouted out to her to keep her focus and cool), to when he had swung in to save her in the forest where she had met her Bulbasaur, to their Terracotta Ribbon they share, to when May woke Ash up first while sleeping in that haunted village where Wobuffet had fallen in love with a Kirlia, to May seemingly cheering more for Ash than her OWN FATHER when Ash had challenged Norman to a Gym Battle, to her often being the one to hold Pikachu while Ash battled with one of his other Pokémon, to, of course, the Temple of the Sea movie. @NRPG64 I would put Drew in the same boat as I'd put Conway - a creepy flirt/decoy in order not to upset Pokeshippers + (More recently and more notably) Amourshippers. I like Misty a lot lost as she's iconic, but I don't really buy into Pokeshipping other than she was the first Pokegirl, and I would consider her more of a big sister to Ash. I think some fans overexaggerate how strong "Contestshipping" was for the reasons I stated above and saw Drew a bit more like being to May what Gary or Paul are to Ash.. There are two reasons why Advanceshipping is my no. 1 pick, and why I can see Pearlshipping being yours - 1) I liked the subtlety where it can be heavily implied between Ash and May rather than kind of in-your-face like with Serena's crush on Ash, and 2) I'd say Advanceshipping doesn't feel too one-sided and it can implied from both sides (which is saying a lot since Ash can be quite oblivious (I love Ash but he can be quite the oblivious one sometimes).

I used to think Amourshipping was the end all be all ship for Ash, but I can honestly make a solid argument for Lillie being Ash’s most likely love now, which is great since that’s actually my favorite Ash ship I know Serena had that as a whole plot point in X&Y, but their actual interaction in Journeys didn’t give off anything romantic. Granted, Lillie and Ash’s interactions in Journeys weren’t that much either, but he did jump a bit when she mentioned him in the letter. You might say that’s me looking too deep into it, but I would counter and ask for your explanation for that. I mean, Lillie’s interactions with Ash happened when she found her dad and finally came back home to Alola, so it’s not like there was much time for any of that Add to it, both Serena and Lillie blushed at Ash a lot, but the difference is that Ash actually blushed at Lillie during that one otherwise mid Rotom-Dex episode when they talked on the beach. The only other time this ever happened was when Team Rocket suggested that Ash and Misty were in love, which is a big deal from a shipping standpoint, though I would add that that moment was directly related to romance, whereas the Lillie and Ash blush scene was more of a “step away from subtlety” moment that happened naturally without anyone suggesting romance, so in my opinion Ash and Lillie had the superior blushing scene (that last part actually felt weird to say XD) On top of that, a big point the S&M and Journeys anime’s made was that Alola is another home to Ash, so imo it makes sense for Ash’s girlfriend to be from Alola. I know that’s a flimsy argument at best, so take it as you will That’s just my opinion. Ash and Dawn have arguments, nothing as bad as Ash and Misty's arguments, thankfully, and they always make up before the episode ends. The cheerleader outfit. Tell me one other companion Ash had who went this far to support him in his battles. I'll wait. The movies. During Diamond and Pearl's run, Dawn was pretty much front and center with Ash during the movies Gen 4 had, and these movies were continuations instead of a separate story like most of the movies usually are. Dawn was also in the promotions with Ash during Gen 4 as well. Look up the Domino's commercial to see my point. No other Poké Girl were in any promotions. Dawn's return during the Journey series. Dawn had the most return appearances compared to all of the other Poké Girls. Even the two everyone thinks are his soul mates, Misty and Serena. And those returns aren't half-hour episodes. They are all multiple part episodes, including a movie pertaining to the release of Pokémon: Legends Arceus. The final multiple appearance episodes were the final battle between Ash and Leon. None of the other girls returned for this big achievement in Ash's journey. I could go on, but then I would be making a script for a video at this point.

With Ash and Misty, at minimum, their possessiveness/protectiveness of each other can be based on the fact they’re each other’s first best friend. Sure they fought a lot, but even best friends disagree. Also, Ash is from a small town and is an only child of a single mom compared to Misty, youngest with three older sisters who didn’t treat her the best and absentee parents. There was bound to be growing pains.

Mostly Ash, since Leaf is often romantically shipped with Red (Red & Green are somewhat implied to have a crush on each other in the manga, and they confirm Ash to be Red's anime counterpart), and since Gary (Blue's anime variant) practically has a harem traveling beside him (Yes, I'm aware their cheerleaders, but they're known as his harem in Japan.)
Serena is very difference from the other past female traveling companions because she never get angry, scold, criticise or get irritated by Ash's annoying behaviour except once when Ash yelled at her to leave him alone after he lost the Gym battle at Snowbelle Gym. Apart from that she often more worried about Ash whether it's training, being reckless and in his Gym battle compare to Ash's past female friends like Misty, May, Dawn and Iris who were never worried too much about Ash's battle skills although they sometimes criticise him.
Well, Ash doesn't have an annoying behavior, but I agree that Serena is different from Misty, May, Dawn and Iris and for everything you explained about her relationship with Ash and Ash's relationship with his previous female travelling companions. (Before all of you ContestShippers come at me and accuse me of hating Drew, saying he's "the only one for May". Hear me out. I DON'T hate Drew. In fact, I think he was a very good rival to May (he certainly looks like Henry Cavill when compared to Harley (who I'd describe as evil). Essentially Drew is to May what Gary and Paul are to Ash and I would even go as far as to describe Drew as being Trip done RIGHT in many ways. And that's the thing: I buy into May and Drew being RIVALS, but not lovers, especially with Drew, while certainly friendlier towards May than Harley ever was, often saying how inferior she is as a Co-ordinator (his equivalent of Paul calling Ash and his Pokémon "pathetic") or would annoy her like Gary used to often annoy Ash. If anything, May's dynamic/rivalry with Drew is more IMO akin to Sonic's dynamics with Shadow and Jet in SA2 and Sonic Riders respectively).
Meanwhile, while Ash and May sometimes argued, in particular in the Bitter the Better Episode, they had a very strong bond. From the first time they had encountered Team Magma, to their support for one another (e.g. when May lost her focus after being humiliated by Harley at their first encounter, Ash shouted out to her to keep her focus and cool), to when he had swung in to save her in the forest where she had met her Bulbasaur, to their Terracotta Ribbon they share, to when May woke Ash up first while sleeping in that haunted village where Wobuffet had fallen in love with a Kirlia, to May seemingly cheering more for Ash than her OWN FATHER when Ash had challenged Norman to a Gym Battle, to her often being the one to hold Pikachu while Ash battled with one of his other Pokémon, to, of course, the Temple of the Sea movie. There are two reasons why Advanceshipping is my no. 1 pick, and why I can see Pearlshipping being yours - 1) I liked the subtlety where it can be heavily implied between Ash and May rather than kind of in-your-face like with Serena's crush on Ash, and 2) I'd say Advanceshipping doesn't feel too one-sided and it can implied from both sides (which is saying a lot since Ash can be quite oblivious (I love Ash but he can be quite the oblivious one sometimes).

I used to think Amourshipping was the end all be all ship for Ash, but I can honestly make a solid argument for Lillie being Ash’s most likely love now, which is great since that’s actually my favorite Ash ship
I know Serena had that as a whole plot point in X&Y, but their actual interaction in Journeys didn’t give off anything romantic. Granted, Lillie and Ash’s interactions in Journeys weren’t that much either, but he did jump a bit when she mentioned him in the letter. You might say that’s me looking too deep into it, but I would counter and ask for your explanation for that. I mean, Lillie’s interactions with Ash happened when she found her dad and finally came back home to Alola, so it’s not like there was much time for any of that
Add to it, both Serena and Lillie blushed at Ash a lot, but the difference is that Ash actually blushed at Lillie during that one otherwise mid Rotom-Dex episode when they talked on the beach. The only other time this ever happened was when Team Rocket suggested that Ash and Misty were in love, which is a big deal from a shipping standpoint, though I would add that that moment was directly related to romance, whereas the Lillie and Ash blush scene was more of a “step away from subtlety” moment that happened naturally without anyone suggesting romance, so in my opinion Ash and Lillie had the superior blushing scene (that last part actually felt weird to say XD)
On top of that, a big point the S&M and Journeys anime’s made was that Alola is another home to Ash, so imo it makes sense for Ash’s girlfriend to be from Alola. I know that’s a flimsy argument at best, so take it as you will

You're WAY OFF base when you talk about Ash and Dawn's relationship. They don't have a sibling dynamic. They've been hinted at being a couple for most of the shows run.
Let's start with the arguments. Yes, couples do argue, but what's important here is that despite what happens during an argument, the two of you make an effort to reconcile with each other. Ash and Dawn have arguments, nothing as bad as Ash and Misty's arguments, thankfully, and they always make up before the episode ends.
The cheerleader outfit. Tell me one other companion Ash had who went this far to support him in his battles. I'll wait.
The movies. During Diamond and Pearl's run, Dawn was pretty much front and center with Ash during the movies Gen 4 had, and these movies were continuations instead of a separate story like most of the movies usually are.
Dawn was also in the promotions with Ash during Gen 4 as well. Look up the Domino's commercial to see my point. No other Poké Girl were in any promotions.
Dawn's return during the Journey series. Dawn had the most return appearances compared to all of the other Poké Girls. Even the two everyone thinks are his soul mates, Misty and Serena. And those returns aren't half-hour episodes. They are all multiple part episodes, including a movie pertaining to the release of Pokémon: Legends Arceus.
The final multiple appearance episodes were the final battle between Ash and Leon. None of the other girls returned for this big achievement in Ash's journey.
