I was actually looking for a video to see where in Rochester MN most of the major doctors that work there live. My wife & I were just pondering the question because we are going up there next month because my wife will be having open heart surgery there. We found & reserved a 3 bd 2 bath house on VRBO, & unfortunately its going to run us just a little under $3000 for Jan 20 thru Feb 9. Its supposed to be 5 blocks away & 0.6 mile from where my wife has to go according to google (St. Marys) It seems a bit steep for being advertised at $92 a day, but they tacked on some outrageous fees totaling to about $500. I have till Jan 6 to cancel reservation & get all my money back. But I went this route instead of a hotel because my 11 yr old & mother in law are going with us, & I really didnt want all of us to be stuck in a hotel rm with only 1 bathroom. Thanks for the video. Hope there's a really nice break in the weather by the time we have to get up & be there.
Hi Joe. Are there any locations in the Rochester area which require flood insurance when obtaining a mortgage? If so , a video on the subject would be great. Thank you!
Hi Lisa, thanks for your question. There are definitely areas in Rochester that require flood insurance. I will plan to make a video answering this question and showing how you can determine if a home is in a flood insurance area. Thanks!
Very helpful. Could you possibly review communities within 30-45 minutes of Mayo for retirees that want to live part of the year in Rochester and part of the year near the Jax FL Mayo campus? We are looking for a small lake community that would still give us easy access to Mayo should the need arise. Thanks!
Hi Justine, great question and recommendation. If you want to reach out to me, you can through casaminnesota.com. I added this topic to my video list but it may take me sometime to publish the video.
Thanks for your video! I got accepted to Mayo Clinic’s CRNA program so I’m planing on moving and staying there for the next 5 years. Do you suggest renting or buying a property?
@@TarcisioGois congrats on getting into the Mayo CRNA program. My wife is a CRNA and did her CRNA program at Mayo. If you plan to stay here for 5 years, buying a great home wouldn’t be a bad idea.
@ I see, thanks for answering. I’m just very confused since it’s my first time having to decide that and also the fact that I’ll have no other income during school except for the loans makes me wonder if I should commit to a mortgage
