I apologize for the late upload. Did not know TH-cam would block my video in the U.S.. Got too it as quickly as possible🙏thank you guys for being patient
This is the real hip-hop... word up!! They were a part of the Native Tongues Crew along with A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Monie Love, The Jungle Brothers, Queen Latifah and more...
These guys were part of the Native Tongues. A collective that included Jungle Brothers, De La Soul. A Tribe Called Quest, Monie Love, Queen Latifah and Chi-Ali. The late 80's and early 90 hip hop was just incredible.
Funny story, I thought I was going to Boston to see Black Sheep '92 , got to the club and it was Black Moon lol " Who got da props" a banger worth checking out.
Black Sheep were part of the extended Native Tongues collective along with De la Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Jungle Brothers, Queen Latifah, Monie Love etc but were on more DITC records back in the day
Black Sheep with a TOP hip hop club jam from the 90s. These guys weren’t huge for much else (there are a couple of good jams on this same album) but damn this one went hard.
My man Stax… I’ve never commented on your videos before but I’ve loved watching your reactions for a couple months now and had to say something when you listened to my favorite hip hop song of all time!!!! So glad you loved it as much as I did and still do to this day… the flow, message, scratching, the mid-song hype up, is just everything I love about 80s-90s hip hop 🔥 You getting excited over the little drum section that comes in underneath the main beat is another reason why I love your reactions, keep it up and pause as many times as you want during a song to speak your mind, ignore the haters ✊ Ps- would love to see you react to “my definition of a bombastic jazz style” by The Dream Warriors if you haven’t already ✌️
You gotta check out Flavor of the Month. This was a straight club banger! After Pick It Up (3x), the whole room was jumping, even the wallflowers. Great memories.
Dres slipped in a DOPE shoutout to his crew. "Black Sheep of the Native. I got Brothers in the Jungle, Cousins on a Quest." Black Sheep was part of the "Native Tongues" Collective, which included The Jungle Brothers (brothers in the jungle) and A Tribe Called Quest (cousins on a quest). Please react to "Buddy" by De La Soul to see the "Natives" do their thing.
What you were saying about how everyone looked back in the day reminded me of this song/video. To me it exemplifies what it was like in the early 90s. Fun hip hop. Called Don’t Curse - Heavy D with Kool G Rap, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Grand Puba and one or two others. Stacked.
Black Sheep are part of the Native Tongue Family. They are the babies of the Clan. Native Tongue consist of: A tribe Called Quest, De la Soul, Jungle Brothers(Fathers of the Clan) Queen Latifah, Monie Love.
You asked for more, i'll send you more. Just wanna make sure i don't send any from the last list. Great reaction, love Black Sheep, might wanna check Flavor of the month. from the same album. All the best from Denmark
Cypress hill ,Leaders of the New School Naughty by Nature, Even early Tupac videos all had that 91,92 bop step, the movement you talk about, I dont know if it had a name, but that’s what we were doing in high school
Mr. Lawnge is the Dj and beat maker, Dre’s is the emcee. Another super dope crew from the native tongues: The Jungle Brothers, De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Queen Latifah, Monie Love. Affiliates: Busta Rhymes ( Leaders of the New School, Mos Def, and Bush Babees
Stax..it's the Ricksta !! Check out Flavor of the Month from the Black Sheep . It's a dope track . Also check out I'm Droppin Em from LL Cool J and Bust a Move by Young MC. You want old school bro I get them for ya . Peace my brother!!
Its me again, reminiscing about this album while you get your first taste. This shit here blew it UP! I used to hang with some graffiti kids and we had this album on repeat. If you want another banger (IMO, a better banger) check out "Similak Child", and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE react to "U Mean I'm Not" (which is Black Sheep's response to the influx of Gangsta rap at that time. Its a short song, and I'm telling you it is ONE OF A KIND)
Yo! go around some 45 to 55 yr olds and play the last verse "engine engine number 9,,," and watch when that beat drops all them old azz folks gonna be jumping up and down LOL Prob gonna break some bones but yeah back in 91 and 92 in the club when that last verse dropped. Everyone lost their minds and the whole club was jumping. Literally jumping up and down. I think it used to be called the East Coast Stomp.
This whole first Black Sheep album is amazing but this remix and the Strobelite Honey remix were so crazy and weren't on the LP. The early 90s was annoying like that they made you buy the singles.
I apologize for the late upload. Did not know TH-cam would block my video in the U.S.. Got too it as quickly as possible🙏thank you guys for being patient
Man that engine engine line back in the day at the club...........was off the chain
People would lose their minds.
@@garyscott9364 Word. This was when I first started going to clubs.. This song and Scenario would tear the roof down.
@ definitely Scenario as well and thinking about it, Jump Around had people bouncing off the walls as well.
I wish I was alive back in them days. Boom Bap at the club sounds NUTS.
Black Sheep Flavour of the Month

Thank you brotha 💙🙏
Strobelite Honeys, Similak Child, or Flavor Of The Month. All great videos by Black Sheep. The entire album was solid.
Black Sheep with a TOP hip hop club jam from the 90s. These guys weren’t huge for much else (there are a couple of good jams on this same album) but damn this one went hard.
And the funny thing is this is the remixed version on the cassette, the original doesn’t go nearly as hard as this flow and beat do!
Flavor of the month
Props for doing the reaction to this 90's hip hop classic! Early 90's hip hop classics live.........forever.
No problem
Remember my sister and me playing this and our father, a guitarist really loving it
