This is the most I've ever heard Sam Reid laugh in an interview, not surprising since Naomi has such great energy. This podcast quickly became my favorite of all of the cast interviews.
Sam Reid's laughter is wonderful 💕💓💞 His voice melodic. Jacob Anderson also has a sweet voice and his love of and care for the crafting of Louis is fantastic. 🌼🌻🏵
I love Eric so much. He was a gift as Captain Ross on Law and Order CI and he's still giving. 💛❤️💛❤️ Bailey is a real joy. She has been a super Claudia. So layered. 💫💫
The host, Naomi is HI-larious 🤣 & she really makes the guest feel comfortable. Sam is usually very soft-spoken in interviews, but she had him straight up HOL-LER-ING 😆 in this interview! I LOVE 💘 IT 😀!! On another note 📝 . . . I AM SO GLAD JACOB SAID FRO. HIS OWN MOUTH THAT LOUIS IS ENTITLED & THAT HE WAS WRONG (AT LEAST PARTIALLY SO) FOR BLAMING LESTAT FOR RUINING HIS LIFE & NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR HIS CHOICES 👏🏾!! I have BEEN saying this in other comment sections that Louis CHOSE --- WASN'T FORCED --- 2B a vampire 🧛🏽♂️ cuz he thought it'd be an easy way out of his problems as a mortal, but --- in fact ☝🏾 ---- it just created more/ added 2 his already existing problems. Everyone says I'm making excuses for Lestat & I'm like, NO . . . Lestat was forced into vampirism by his maker who kidnapped him; Louis was actually given the choice by Lestat. Louis didn't even take responsibility for the predicament he put Claudia in by persuading Lestat to turn her while she was still a developing teenager UNTIL Claudia went off on his a$$ about it & ran away from home for 6yrs. And he never even came to Lestat & apologized by saying "You know what? You were right. I shouldn't have changed her," cuz Lestat warned Louis she was too young, plus he was doing it out of his selfish desire to have a child & hoping she would be a band-aid for his & Lestat's f🖕🏾cked up relationship!!
he was coerced into vampirism. he was on the brink of suicide, and extremely vulnerable. he had no idea what being a vampire entailed as seen by how he rejects it when he does come to learn. he just wanted to be seen. lestat even says "just nod your head and say yes" lestat wanted a companion and that's it. he doesn't talk into account louis family and baggage and so starts their conflict

Lestat even admitted to killing all the people who were turning up around town dead from ✌🏾The Fever 🤒 ✌🏾 --- INCLUDING Louis' friend, Ms. Lily. So IF NOTHING ELSE, he knew he was gonna have to kill 2 survive --- and that's ALL he needed to know to know it wasn't for him 🤨👇🏾!

If Lestat wanted to kyll Louis, he could have done it at anytime ---- especially when he dropped Louis from the "7th Heaven 🌌" in Episode 5 of Season 1, but as Santiago pointed out during the Trial in Season 2, Lestat KNEW given Louis' Vampiric nature --- especially since he was fortified with the fortified 💪🏻 blood 🩸 from Lestat HIMSELF --- that the fall wouldn't kyll Louis. In addition, if Louis was SO "scared" if dying, he wouldn't have taunted Lestat to drop him. He literally told Lestat: "Let me GO!". If someone holds your life in your hands, even if you hate them, if you're TRULY afraid, you gonna tell them WHATEVER you think they want to hear until you are back in a safe situation. Louis told Lestat to let him go more as a rejection to Lestat. PLUS, Louis told Daniel to go with the version of "The Fight 🤜🏻💥🤛🏾" that portrayed Lestat as showing restraint as his memories started coming back to him without Armand's influence over them. That's ALL that needs to be said 🤷🏾♂️! Why would Lestat show restraint if he wanted to kill him? Cuz he didn't!
@@dominiquedevereux7205 did you watch the trial half asleep or something? the trial is orchestrating the execution of louis and claudia. it is meant to paint louis as the monster to lestat’s victim so they can justify punishing him, even though we the TRUE audience, know that isn’t true. you’re not supposed to believe what santiago says, hes deliberately dehumanising louis (using racist stereotypes mind you). But even moreso, is the fact that lestat rejects what santiago says and admits that he broke louis and it was the worst thing he ever did and he doesn’t expect to be forgiven. HE OWNS UP TO IT so why cant you? how are you gonna try and reframe “i am trying to restrain myself” as something loving. lestat even says “a wolf congratulated for not killing her pups.” he is trying to restrain himself from killing louis. he is saying without saying the words “you make me hurt you.” how about he restrain himself from not beating louis and his daughter.

I agree Eric, Greyworm (Jacob) is an amazing actor. He's the reason I watched the show, I never read the books and I don't really remember the movie. Lestat is a dramatic brat lol. Everyone brings their character to life phenomenally! Jacob, Sam, Bailey and Eric.

I've to disagree with Bailey here. As a teenager the reason you can't control your emotions as much as an adult, is, teenagers have much more hormones than adults. Unless the teenagers are sexually active. Adults who aren't sexually active will behave like teenagers because hormones heightened all your emotions. Prefrontal cortex is nonsense. It has nothing to do with your decision making.
52:11 "What does love mean if you can [live/love] forever?" It was an interesting enough question for like five seconds, when she said "I'm 19" 😂. They cast THE RIGHT person for Claudia. She is a 19 year old that looks like a 30 year old playing a 14 year old undead.
He does say he wants to die. I think it seems like he doesn't go to confession for forgiveness, but to be judged and condemned. And that that judgement would have driven him to actually act on his desire to die, which I guess is why he says yes to Lestat.

Yeah come to think of it I've never really heard Sam chuckle before in non of the interviews and it's very nice to hear him laugh .
