I was trying to find a movie last night, and I thought, I haven't seen Weekend Movie Review in ages, I'll have to look it up. I almost went with Crimson Rivers. But ended up with Guy Ritchie's Wrath of Man instead. Guys movies used to move with the ease and rhythm of a complex and tightly choreographed dance, done so well that the audience never sees the hard work, just the effortless grace and thrill of the dance. Wrath of Man was a bit of a plodder. Aside from some of his familiar actors, I wouldn't have guessed it was a GR movie at all. Love the recommendations, sounds like I'll be watching French movies today. Excellent list. Sam Raimi's The Gift is one of those movies I've watched dozens of times. I adore Cate Blanchet, and the entire cast is to notch all in this piece. It's great story telling, and as the villains of the piece, Keanu Reeves danger and menacing behavior keeps the place of the film moving along. I'll likely end up watching it again. Tell No one is based on the Harlen Cobin's book. The movie actually encouraged me to read his other works. The others, I've seen, and deserve to be on this list. These are gritty, and sometimes dark movies. You feel sated by any of these, but they are dark films that take us to dark places. Mystic River is one of the few movies that are excellent, but I've only watched once. I like to watch a great movie at least twice, but MR was too dark for me, as was Gone Baby Gone. Top picks, great list as usual. Happy to see you today.

You just made my weekend...but next one because it's monday today! You should think about loading videos at thursday or even friday,so we could really enjoy in Weekend Movies. Like your very own name of channel says.
good list, I've watched all 10 movies when they just came out. I checked my ratings of all the movies on my imdb account and gave most of it a high rating, surprisingly I only gave average rating for insomnia and mystic river. but that was a long time ago and I'd probably have to re-watch again some of them.
I watched five of them (1 to 5). All good movies. Mystic River, the best one. And The secret in their eyes... far better the original (the argentinian). Got to see the other five. Thanks!
