Such a great video...we too have a cavapoo (it is a male named Gibby) and have had him for 5 years now...cavapoo's are fun, playful dogs who learn quickly and are great family pets. Sophie looks like a cutie...she is over a year old now and I am sure runs the household. 😀

@@lette1461 Sophie's crate is 24" long by 17" wide by 19" high.
@@NessaandSophie ok thanks and after seven months does it still fit her? Want to just buy one crate size and that's it seeing they are a little pricey. Getting a shih poo by the way
@@lette1461 Sophie has used this crate since the day we brought her home and she still continues to use it. It did come with a divider to make it smaller which we took out when she was about 6 months old. The size works really well for her, however, she is on the smaller size and weight for cavapoos so just keep in mind that if you get a cavapoo they may end up bigger than Sophie and require a slightly larger crate.

Thank you so much for your support and congratulations on your upcoming puppy adoption! 😊 Now It took me awhile to see if I could find links to the items you wanted, especially since I bought a lot of things for Sophie from HomeSense which is a store that doesn't have online shopping, so here's my best shot! 🤞
*The food and water bowls I bought at a local HomeSense and I can't find any link for them online (but they're from the brand Paws and Fish Signature if you're interested).
*The 6ft leash is from Petco (www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/petco-nylon-dog-leash-black-6-ft-x-1-2-in-1424441p.html#srp) but it hasn't been the best quality and I actually ended up buying a better quality leash once Sophie got older. I got the 10ft leash from Dollarama (much cheaper than amazon and it doesn't have to be extra durable because it's for inside only).
*The pink harness was from Top Paw (velcro size XS), I also couldn't find a link to that one either but they do have a lot of different options available in your interested in something similar to Sophie's.

Hi Nessa first time doing this... my son and I are waiting for our puppy aussiedoodle... she will be 5 weeks old Monday... I have never had a puppy in my life so this is my first experience was told that they can heal hearts since my husband went to be with Jesus during the Covid scare when it came here...😔 Her name is Grace... so here we go... thank you for the list... Hi Nessa: I really enjoy watching your videos as I sit on the cusp of adopting a Cavapoo, having about 6 months ago laid my beloved Maltese to rest. I am writing to ask that you think about one more piece of gear that I consider essential: a chest harness for car rides.
I am of the opinion that unless you're walking distance from your breeder/vet etc., that no dog should ride in a car without being latched into a safety belt via a chest harness, which is less likely to cause doggie trauma than a collar if a vehicle the dog is in has to stop short.
Sadly, the laws of physics apply just as much to dogs as people and other unsecured or improperly secured items in a vehicle's cabin.

So cute, we bought a pug about 10 months ago. However I just think cavoodles are just adorable. They have the cutest face. Just don't tell my pug. She's watching me now as I type this
I love pugs. I have had four pugs not at once. Two black (male and female) and Two Fawn (male and female). I had other dogs but only one pug at a time. They make great pets. Get an excellent vacuum cleaner for a pug and brush her daily because they shed. My Rosy went to the Rainbow Bridge in 2020. I have a miniature schnauzer now. I have had poodles, and I have had a Cavalier. This is the first Cavalier/poodle mix I have ever seen.

Hi, My cavapoo is 12 weeks old and we’ve had her for three weeks. She is absolutely adorable and extremely high energy. I have been told that I should get her CBD drops or pills to keep her a little more relaxed. She knows her name, she knows No, she knows come, and she knows sit. Does anyone have an opinion? I want to see how your puppy crate /pen was set up. your video didn't show the whole thing and it was seen pretty quickly.
I don't really have much video of the crate/puppy pen set up. I didn't have too much space to work with, so I actually used zip ties to attach the pen to her crate. She has a double door crate which allowed me to have one door opening into the pen so she could go into the pen to play, use the puppy pee pads if she had to and go back into her crate to sleep.

does she bark a lot or at all?
Sophie does bark in certain situations, like most dogs do. She doesn't excessively bark and with training you can control what situations you feel comfortable with having your dog bark in.
How on earth is your puppy so still when putting on the collar and harness?! My 13-week-old will fight me every step of the way 😂
Oh no! I honestly haven't had any issues with Sophie and her harness/collar but I also had her wearing her harness all the time (other than when she was in her crate) when we brought her home so I think she just got used to it. If you're having issues with your puppy, try giving them treats when you're wanting to put on the harness or collar and give lots of praise! Try getting them to wear it while playing around the house or while they're eating a special treat so they start associating positive emotions with the harness and they'll hopefully be so distracted with playtime/treat that they'll forget they're even wearing it. I hope that helps.
Puppy shouldn’t be outside at all at 8 weeks
Before the vaccinations are finished, puppies shouldn't be in places where other dogs might have been. One's own private back yard is perfectly fine, as is the back of a bicycle. (Although I'd be scared that'd be the one time the bike would decide to slide out from under me. I'd actually feel safer on a motorcycle.) So whatever works for Nessa and Sophie.
