There’s also enough death, despair, and hell around us right now, like the lyrics of the aria say. Singing unites human beings and brings joy to their hearts, that is why it is so important to sing during times like these, but positive vibes are needed. Is there a better suited German aria about beautiful things like love out there? :)

I’m not an opera singer. But more of an R&B/pop but my voice ends up doing opera things. I would like to learn this aria just as a challenge and this the video I was looking for.

Well it is always great to get the perspectives of others, shows your open mindedness .
I know pronunciation has changed over time, but the word "durch" actually sounds more like "doo-ick" now (among Germans, I mean). You don't hear the "r" in it anymore, and it's almost two syllables.
