Oh my goodness, I have to show this video to my daughter immediately! She sang Panis Angelicus by Cesar Franck last spring in a music festival and she struggled with this and the judges wrote down for her to work on the pharyngial space because she did choke and struggle with the resonation. Although she was very nervous singing also, so it wasn't easy once you have the nerves going on. I get what the problem was now! This will be our go-to video for the next new songs she will work on this year!
This is another great video to everyone who loves to sing. I must try to do this for my exercises, additional in my lists as daily routine, practice slowly. My heartfelt thanks to you, Madam Freya.❤
Love this! Thank you! I've been singing for years and often switch between classical, pop, gospel and jazz. After singing quite a bit of gospel recently, I needed a refresher in elongating the mouth and soft palate.
I need help. What to do with straining? I am a soprano and have a high voice, but my problem is in singing high notes (from g5). They're not clear and it feels like something is in my throat, it's straining and does not sound good. I don't know how to get rid of it and free the flow to be my voice clear. The problem is in my neck, not breathing. Any advices or exercises?
Hi Freya...I'm training as an 18 year old countertenor who wants to be able to sing better in head voice. I'm looking forward to singing as a sopranista countertenor. My tessitura and tonal color will fit a mezzo soprano and I have a range that reaches D6 but sits comfortably on B5/C6. But the problem I'm facing here is transition from falsetto to head voice between Eb5 and F5. Some days I can't get into head voice easily...only a strong falsetto till Eb5 and then I have to become a different person with all these manipulations sometimes to get to the head voice. my idols are Jacob Orlinski, Bruno De Sa and Maayan Litcht... I would really like to sing better. Any help?😢
Hi Freya, which beautiful opera aria were you singing? And many thanks for your videos, you help me a lot now that I can't afford singing lessons anymore. One thing I do very wrong, when I sing very, very high notes, is to freeze and I didn't do it some years ago, but now I do. Need to get rid of that.
This video really helps!
Glad to hear 😊
I can’t help but noticing how your tongue is shaping, could you do a video on tongue please 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Guten tag Freya,

Joan Sutherland never seemed to be able to float. Caballe OTOH was the master of floated high notes.
Is it good if I sing when I'm sick?
nope! when you’re almost recovering, start with some gentle warmups to ease back into it
@@nadiakwaramba7246 Thanks!
