This is a Russian Comfrey plant. This variety doesn't spread by seed. I usually plant it with with small root fragments.

Have you used any soil amendments with your comfrey? Fertilizer? Anything?

Nope, just covered the grass with a lot of woodchips, then planted these the next year from cuttings. Last year they were about half the height at the beginning of May.

And medicine. Cant be understated what it does for bones and joints. Arthritis etc. Sprains. Old injury pains. Its great. All topical uses too.
It makes good fertilizer absolutely. But be sure to utilize it for its miraculous pain releiving properties

@GrowWithGordon.JamesPanyan test it out yourself if you habe sore joints. No special prep needed. Just crush up a leaf enough to get the juices flowing on it and put it directly on what hurts and wrap it up with a cloth.
10-15 minutes you'll get the same releif you'd get from a handful of anti inflammatory from OTC.
this will infact replace most all anti inflammatory meds, and you don't even have to eat it...
Next time your hands hurt. Or elbows or knees. Sprained ankle sprained wrist. Cracked bone. Etc.
This...get this on it before you go to the doctor. Baring a true break ofcourse.

Be sure to “cut towards your buddy, not your body”

Hahaha never heard that one before:) Really prefer this type of blade to a scythe. Less 'slashing' and more cutting.
