I’ve had long hair for a very long time and cutting it all off seemed very daunting and drastic. Once I found out about The Little Princess Trust the idea of donating my hair for a good cause felt very, very good. I talked to my hairdresser about my plan and she was super excited to be part of this little event which you can now watch in this video.

I've researched about how the hair should be cut for the wigs and the hairstyles that works with the donations said that if you cut it all off together then about 40% of the hair isn't good enough to use for the wig but I hope that all of your hair was used for someone to love😊

I have recently really wanted to shave my hair and donate it because my hair grows really fast but watching this I just remembered my hair is bleached and most places dont except that so I'm not necessarily sad but each I've cut my hair really short before so yea

I can't wait to donate mine haha. I wanted to cut them in a month but I'll have to wait a few more months because my hair is not long enough. Or well, it is but if I cut off 35 cm (which is the shortest you can donate here) it would be right under my ears and I would look pretty stupid I think. So let's hope it grows quickly!

how many inches did you end up chopping off and what is the minimum length you can donate? I too have fairly long hair but the thought of going super short is scary!
Maria Mariaaa Hi Maria! I cut off about 10 inches. If you wish to donate to the same charity it needs to be 7 inches or longer :) X

I have indeed! I sent my hair off a few days after I cut it, to the Princess Trust. I hope and trust they were able to use it.

"Charities" do not need more hair donations. It takes too long to grow spectacular long hair, such as yours was.
My hair didn't take long to grow, hence why I decided to cut it. And instead of throwing it in the bin I decided to donate it instead - whether the charity needed it or not. I also donated money that I raised which will most definitely help. Have a lovely day!
