Enjoy watching you figure out solutions to problems. Appreciate creativity / thinking outside the box by people who, indeed, think for themselves! Had to smile as you mentioned rain & figuring out what to do next. A blessing to have freedom of choice! Yet, forecast for this morning, for us, is heavy rain for drive-in church this morning. (sigh) Hope you and Charly have a blessed Sunday.
It is truly a blessing to have the freedom of choice that I have. I cherish freedom. I bought my own truck many years ago because of the freedom it afforded me. Some folks are content to be confined to a small world with very limited choices. I tried that life in the Army. 3 years was all I could do.
Thanks for the video! After weighing the various Cobra, Vance and Hines, etc options. This is definitely a go-to, First step! Since you ended up drilling it from the back, I'm going to try drilling it in place on the bike... My plan is to use the nuts like you did on a 24 inch long piece of 3/8" all-thread through the holesaw.
Solved that problem, nice ingenuity. Now the windshields and fixing the seat and you will be set for a nice ride. Your hand still looks rough, you haven't made Charly mad again I hope, lol. Y'all take care and be safe!
Me neither. It’s just loud enough to hear over the wind noise. You have to wonder what someone’s motivation is for having a bike so loud that it pisses people off. What are they compensating for?
@@bctruck - Yeah, I agree. I Googled the aftermarket ones that mate up to the speedometer and the ones that replace the original speedometer with tachometer built-in. They start in the two hundred dollar range and top out in the five hundred dollar range. The cheap, (I'd be embarrassed if anyone saw it on my bike fifty dollar Chinesium), tachometer looks like you'd have to hide it and hope it functions correctly is an option too.
I was wondering you would be able to do a quick video on rear, or upper, exhaust. Particularly, how the heat shield is connected to the main exhaust near the exhaust manifold. It is two parts, the main heat shield and a secondary bulge. My small children have been using the exhaust to climb onto the seat and now the upper heat shild near the manifold wiggles easily and don't know how to stop it from doing that. Thanks
Much better than stock, free, and not loud enough to bother my neighbors. We ordered some baffles for my wifes bike. I'll be doing the opposite to hers when they get here.
@@bctruck That’s good I just got it mine out last night but I was still worried about it running to leave because it cannot sense air fuel ratio with no O2 sensors.

Ain’t them bolts gonna be kinda rough iffn ya gotta ride back there Next video you ain’t gonna believe how much a loud exhaust ticket is under waskoms new ordinance
They are far to busy writing tickets for burning on non burn days. If I was a cop in this town, I would write tickets to the straight pipe 3:00 am log haulers that have to Jake through ten gears up to the stop sign.

Your suspension might be too soft. Maybe you need to adjust it so it don't travel as much. It might be bottoming out the suspension when you hit a bump! Us hefty guys have to remember the suspension is usually set up for normal size fellas! Lol

i know I'm kinda randomly asking but does anybody know a good place to stream new tv shows online?
Just did this to my 2015 interstate, sounds much better. Thanks for the video brother.
You can adjust the rear shock, when you pop off the plastic cover on the right side. No need to remove the seat. So easy!

So far, I haven’t angered her but the day is young!
You could install a bacon grease drip into the muffler so if you get lost you can follow the bacon scent trail to get back home 😄
Then I would have to dodge all the people in the road trying to follow my scent trail.
I’m not a fan of super loud exhausts, but on a bike it’s good so other vehicles can hear you and know you’re there even if they aren’t looking
Me neither. It’s just loud enough to hear over the wind noise. You have to wonder what someone’s motivation is for having a bike so loud that it pisses people off. What are they compensating for?
@BCtruck, BC Blades - Are you looking into installing a tachometer gauge onto the motorcycle, either factory style or aftermarket?
No, as long as I can hear the ripems , I’m ok.

I’m sorry but I sold both these Hondas and bought two Harley’s. I need bikes that would be more suitable for old folks.
@@bctruck no worries! I loved the work that you did on the bike by the way. It was a great quality
Sounds good man

That sounds like a fix for my quite 2013 Sabre(same 1300 engine)
If the bike is too quiet I saw a guy who welded a bugle to his muffler and made a video and got a few million views with it.
I would have to go with that aboriginal derijidoo.
Coming along nicely. 👍
Thanks!
Do i have to drill them?
Yep.
Instead of welding that did you consider just using a socket and extension with an impact turn down? Sounds good
I had to be able to pull it out if it got stuck.
@@bctruck that makes sense
How has the bike been running since you opened up the exhaust? Have you had to return the bike or is it running OK?
I sold it and bought two harleys. Ran great after I opened it up.

Snapped bro 🔥
I have no idea what that means. Im old, youll have to use old guy english.
That will do. Oh yeah, that will do.
It’s just loud enough to be satisfying but not annoying.
I think that's a Mayhew Pry bar..I inherited one from my Grandfather =)

A bread I think they call that tool a drift pin over sometime to a spud ranch has a drift pin Built-in to it on the back side
Wow auto correct I said Hey Brad
Acorn nuts!
That’s it!!!
Drilling out the baffles is a easy way to make your Motorcycle a little louder and safer so those in cages hear you.
I wanted it just loud enough for me to hear over the wind noise. I have no desire to annoy folks with volume. This was a cheap, quick and easy fix.

Drift pin/bull pin is the name of the tool
I knew it had a technical name. I call it the long pointy bar thingy.

That’s what I thought they were used for. Steel erectors and mill rights.
Maybe a different seat in the future.
Yep. She is looking at that after the windshield and after the apes.
Luggage rack
Did you have any power loss or backfire or any problems after doing that to the exhaust, or did you have to tune the bike
No. It took about ten minutes for the computer to adjust fuel trim.
