L-Citrulline bought in 500-gram sacks or kilo sacks needs to be stored in sealed containers like used glass jars. It will absorb moisture from the air and convert from a salt-like granule into gooey stuff in high humidity if you store it in the bag. That is my experience.

I turned 60 this year and I'm taking 3g in the morning and 3g in the evening. I did not have bad ED but I was feeling a slow down in the plumbing for sure. Basically my ability to FIRE dropped off to a dribble. At first I was taking 1 scoop of L-Citrulline at night, 3grams. That made a difference as far as hardness and ease of erection. But then I read that up to 10grams per day is safe but may cause stomach cramps. So I started taking another 3 grams in the morning before work. Wow that was what made the difference. Now I fire a good few inches. I also have a prescription for slidenefil and if I combine those 2 it's like I'm 35 again. 1.5 grams is not enough for older guys I don't believe. I have not seen any side effects other than a gas feeling in the gut. I would recommend giving L-Citrulline a try.

Once again, kudos to Dr Malik for her always helpful information, and especially for her special and unequaled ability to so openly discuss topics important to men. Only once I saw a urologist, but he was not capable of such an open, helpful, and pleasant manner of interacting with patients. Dr Malik is just the BEST!!
The compressor on your voice over is working too hard - meaning that the 'threshold' is set too low. Because of that your voice loudness is fluctuating so much and it always starts very high in volume and then within a second it goes down. If you have any access to the sound settings or knowledge of what I am talking about - just increase the compressor threshold level at least by 3-4dB and probably even more. Alternatively the reason can be that you are too close to the microphone - try speaking a bit farther away from the mic then your voice will sound more even and pleasing. I've been a fan for years, thanks so much for you invaluable information!
This is a great question. I’ve heard one person argue against talking them together as it puts them in a situation where they have to compete for the same receptors. But I’ve never been able to confirm that.
I have digestion issues, to the point I must fast for a day or two just to get things to move. and I realize L-Citrulline is strongly correlated with intestinal health. I wonder if some have ED due to intestinal issue?
I used L-Citrulline for a different purpose, as a pre-workout supplement for exercising with weights. The idea was to increase blood with its amino acids to muscles. About a year ago I started having attacks of acute pancreatitis and the gastroenterologists speculated that the supplements I was taking might have been causing it. There was a case of L-Citrulline suspected of causing it in another patient. Of course I am undergoing more tests to determine how to get rid of these painful attacks and may get a surgical cure. I also have celiac "disease" (why is it a disease if all I have to do is eat no gluten and I don't get sick) but I envied the animation of the small intestines with villi unshrunk that made me feel a tinge of envy.
@@philmcrackinnow The pancreas specialist has expressed doubt that it was the cause. Fortunately, the pain attacks have stopped. Citrulline is well suited for endurance in aerobic exercise, but not that helpful for bodybuilding.
Hmmmm have you tried cutting down on carbs and sugar and alcohol for a month.? I noticed a couple of years ago red wine would give me terrible digestive problems.
An enzyme tab with your meals will ease the stress on your pancreas. I used to eat tons of food and had severe pancreatitis. Just a couple of enzyme tabs a day completely fixed me. You can start with one a day and work up to one a meal until you find which amount works for you. I now take one pill with every meal just to let my pancreas rest as much as possible. No attacks in about two years.
L-Arginine every night before work so it's my day for graveyard shift and Citrulline in the AM before workout which would be the night for me, strong all day even seen increase in resting size. Confidence boosted, always ready better than 20 yrs ago 😊
I’m an avid cyclist age 74 who is at the highest fitness level of my life. I have a resting heart rate of 43, my blood pressure is 107/68 and my oxygen level is 99. However, I have completely lost ability to achieve an erection in the past 5 years. I have been cycling for about 50 years so I suspect the bike seat is the problem. Correct?
I noticed the change when i started riding my Harley chopper with a wider seat .it was the way it put pressure on my crotch .so consider sitting in a different angle
I’m not a doctor but have researched ED enough that I could write a thesis on it, and, yes, cycling is one of the top 3 issues causing ED. If you went to a urologist and they didn’t make that connection instantly then find another urologist. The very first thing they tell you is to stop cycling to confirm it but if you don’t have diabetes or high blood pressure it points to the cycling. Search ED and cycling for more info.
There's been conflicting research on whether or not cycling causes ED. Personally though, I wouldn't be surprised, considering cyclists' insistence on using skinny, hard seats that are often angled slightly upwards. No only does that hurt after a couple hours, but it also restricts blood and oxygen. Use a split, no-nose seat if anything.
A little history. I'm 75 and recently widowed last September. Wife was disabled so no intimacy since 2009. Recently acquired a girlfriend and discovered the ED. My blood pressure is good, not diabetic, my cholesterol level is good. I had a heart attack in 2011 and have a stent. Stress tests were outstanding. My ED is mild. Sometimes erect but doesn's last very long. Doc put me on 100mg Viagra. It's ok but it does work. Not much sensation in the penis to help climax. Recent MRI shows a distended bladder. Unsure to what degree it might be interfering. I've tried several recipes for ED without any success. Not sure what L-Citruline may do for me.
well hey im impressed you're even trying at 75! im 55 and single and im assuming sex at 65/70 will be: not worth the effort of dating etc not physically possible due to age, function not happening for lack of older attractive women (i cant imagine being attracted enough to 60+ yr old women) ill be content to do without sex by age 70 at the latest.
⭐DHEA 10-20mg every other day is a game changer for me "When you need it" every other day because its half life is 10-20hrs. Tribulus 2nd best mix with Citruline was really good. Tongkat ali also was good but gave heart palpitations, but it did get Free Testosterone levels to 122 pg/ml. If you try citrulline mix it with Beet Juice or Pom juice for some extra kick of nitric oxide flow.⭐
@@robmagz I tried it back when I Was 21 and it felt too strong for me. But fast forward 20 years and now it's just right for me. Experiment but try low doses, I took 20mg then tested within 12 hrs of consuming and it put my levels of an 18 year old. I just can't imagine taking 50mg or higher it just gets me edgy, let alone 100mg+ some people take. Tongkat also worked really well but then hit me with heart palpitations which I just didn't feel it's worth it for me. Yes 100% it free's up your bound testosterone. Feel good think better faster but palpitations ruined it for me.
How old are you? You need to up that dosage to daily, and by the time you get to 50-60 years old you probably need to be at 50-100 mg / day. DHEA declines with age almost completely linearly - by 80 years you've got less that 10% of what you did at 20..
I did that high fat keto for years! And now my doctor told me I have clogged arteries! I’m trying to plant based! I lost my vision at age of 46! From taking Cialis! I’m left with my prefer? I hope taking these will really help me get my erectien back??
Your nitric oxide (NO) level is low. You need nitric oxide in order for viagra and cialis to work. Do some lab test on your nitric oxide levels and consult a urologist on the correct supplement dosage for nitric oxide.
Perfect example. People with common sense don't feel that way. But I Republican that would always put portfolios over people would be quick to drop all limitations testing and checks and balances for profit
Nature has given us many things for the problem of ED.We should not eat these things on daily basis due to phytotoxicity but we should eat these things intermittently. We can take beetroot, pomegranate, tomato, drumstick, pure rose water, roasted flex seeds, roasted seeds of pumpkin,Iranian almonds, roasted sesame seeds, etc but not on daily basis. The level of phytotoxicity decreases after boiling or roasting the vegetables and seeds
Eating a healthy whole food diet, light exercising like walking and keeping your weight in a normal range for your height will do more for healthy erection than supplements or drugs.
Some people need more than that. High cholesterol in families like mine is genetic...we're all on some statin, and I didn't find out until my later 30s when a lot of damage was already done. My total cholesterol had reached over 300, when a cardiologist told me to stop exercising until we got it under control, in order to avoid having a clot break loose, and having a stroke. And, FWIW, was an avid runner and 2nd degree TKD black belt.
I am not overweight. I do not have high blood pressure. I do not have heart disease. I eat a balanced diet. I walk for exercise. I have had ED for 25 years. I am completely non functional now, even with prescription drugs.

58, pretty healthy, been taking two small scoops of citruline malate a day, roughly 10,000MG. Does nothing at nighttime, but have noticed improvement in firmness during playtime. I mix with preworkout, or in my morning smoothie. Is it game changing? Jury is out, but it’s been arguably more effective than other “firmness” supplements which have done NOTHING. Note I’ve taken L Arginine and L Arginine/Citruline combined supplements, and Citruline malate by itself has worked best for me.
Dude, 10,000mg>? you're taking like seven times the daily dose she's mentioning. That can't be good for you. Maybe you need to take a lower dose but better quality brand, or you might have a different issue down there.. Seems to me if you're having to 7X the daily dose she's talking about and it's not working well. Something else is going on.
Since there are no regulations or standards (for so many "nutritional supplements") how about mentioning reputable product suppliers in general, and whether studies like these buy lab grade chemicals? Or retail ones?
Hello Doctor, thank you for educating us about ed. My name is karl and its been almost two years since I contracted prostate cancer. I had surgery that took prostate and 3 lymph nodes out. After waiting 6-8 weeks after surgery I took another PSA test and my PSA was cocerning I had A 1.01. I was referred to radiation and there i was told that the cancer had still been in the pelvic and the lymph node. The surgery had taken 3 lymph nodes but those were not malignant. U had 2 months of proton therapy also with 6 months of eligard. I completed treatment in late january 2023. I had my first check up with my PSA score being undetectable. My radion doctor and my urologist agreed to take me off eligard. I haven't been able to have any erection even with the taldafil. I was able to get my penis erect with the use of a pump however it would not last. Any suggestions. I am grateful to be alive but damn, would love to have that erection back. @@jaynuxx09 sorry you’re right buddy. I meant if he took the 10g with cialis also to look “your best self” or whether it was a different amount. Citruline seems to play with my stomach in higher doses.
What would you recommend, L-arginine and/or L-Citrulline VS Beet Root, Spinach, and Watermelon? What type of exercise would increase blood flow or create new arteries? Thanks.
I have been taking L-Citrulline for several months. It has helped, but is not the cure. Is there a maximum dosage? Been taking 3000mg per day. Would doubling that amount to 6000mg per day be safe?
All depends on whether or not the nerves were saved. There are 2 nerves that pass close to the prostate that 'supplies' the Penis. If the cancer infiltrated these nerves then if it was just one nerve involved then you might have a chance.
Shockwave has worked wonders for me (Phoenix), and I have also discovered a hidden gem that no one ever talks about. That is Serapeptase and Natakinase (also check out Limbrokinase). They are all naturally occurring enzymes and they are like miracle drugs to clear out your arteries (think tiny capillaries clogged up in your penis). I started noticing regular throughout the night and in the mornings just after about three or four weeks of taking serrapeptase. You need to drink lots of water, but I took 120,000 IUs in the morning on an empty stomach and 120,000 I use before I went to bed on an empty stomach. It’s very safe and highly effective at unclogging arteries. Natto and Lumbro are even more powerful.
I've read that L-Citruline might be problematic if you take Cialis and have naturally low blood pressure (as it lowers pressure further). Is there any data either way? Thanks for these videos, they are professional and educational.
I started taking L-Citrulline DL-Malate 2:1 just 3 weeks ago. It is a very fine powder and completely dissolves well in any liquid. It is VERY bitter tasting so I mix it with fruit juice to help temper the taste. What I have noticed it that it has improved my high blood pressure. I do take a pill for hypertension but the medication just takes my BP down to around the point where it is on the low end of HIGH BP. This supplement has reduced my BP many points lower than it has been in years (and I still take my BP med). So far, it hasn't made any change to my erections. In my youth, my erections would have my penis standing up and touching my belly while standing. Now it's barely parallel to the floor while standing. I'm gonna give it some time and hope to see more rigid erections at some point.
The upward facing penis is always for the young folks! But if what you say is true, and I have low blood pressure then this could mean I would be passed out while my partner had her way with me! Nah, she tossed me to the curb years ago, but still, that is handy information that I will need to keep in mind, so thanks for posting that bit! And I'm happy to hear it solved more than one issue for you, I guess not all side effects are bad. Hope you're having more fun than me in the present!
If this stuff worked on erections, it wouldn't be so cheap and it would be sold our everywhere. 😂 For me, it helped with cramp during and after sport. Also made me feel more energised and able to train for longer.
@@1Flyingfist I agree!! If it really worked, it would be sold out, consistently. I've actually tried it. Not too impressed. I'm gonna start just eating tons of watermelon, see what happens. Although, Viagra & working out in the gym, and a good diet, does a pretty good job for me, at 65. 👍🎩👍

Thank you for your great content and dedication.
Your video has given all the information, it is very good.
Well presented. concise and informational.
L-Citrulline bought in 500-gram sacks or kilo sacks needs to be stored in sealed containers like used glass jars. It will absorb moisture from the air and convert from a salt-like granule into gooey stuff in high humidity if you store it in the bag. That is my experience.
ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO DOC THANK YOU ❤❤❤

Aloha,
For months I been using beet power mixed with lite apple juice & it seems to work without any side effects. Each serving is equal to eating 3 beets. I'm not going to push a brand but I use organic beet power. Also it's inexpensive.
😉🤙
Words cannot describe how grateful I am. Thank you Dr Obaz for taking such great care of me. You have a special gift as a doctor and as a person. Thank you for giving me my life back!!!
Add 10mg Yohimbine to the combo and get ready to have your mind blown
Wow, my semen volume is so little now, and just one drop dribbles out. This made you shoot out a few inches now!??
@@boomdoxful2533 Yes for me it is working. I'm also taking L arginine with it and I'm going in the gym every other day. Id say give it a try. Good luck. BTW i had fairly good volume but not much firing power. Somehow L Citrulline helps with that.
@@dirtwhisperer658 I used to take l arginine and l citrulline for Ed, before my semen volume went down, and then I stopped because it kept causing me herpes outbreaks on my lip. The amino acid grows and multiply the herpes virus as a side effect, and I couldn’t take it anymore. Now I don’t get breakouts anymore since I stopped using it. So that’s something to be aware about. I might begin to take it again however, with a daily pill to prevent herpe outbreaks. That way I can try to have the good effects of the supplement without the negative side effect.
I can attest to the increased Fire Power. Been dealing with BPH for years, and the meds I take for it got me dribbling as well. Started taking L-Arginine and BAMM! Im shooting across her Bow again like a born-again Pirate!

What are your thoughts on L-arginine/L-citrulline combination supplements? Usually in the powder form. Thanks.
This is a great question. I’ve heard one person argue against talking them together as it puts them in a situation where they have to compete for the same receptors. But I’ve never been able to confirm that.

@@patrickfrenzil7452 It works but not I had stopped taking it because I haven’t been home to pick up my order. I’ve been on the road.
I have digestion issues, to the point I must fast for a day or two just to get things to move. and I realize L-Citrulline is strongly correlated with intestinal health. I wonder if some have ED due to intestinal issue?
Thank for another heads up on this topic.
So did you ever find out if citrulline was a contributor to the pain?
@@philmcrackinnow The pancreas specialist has expressed doubt that it was the cause. Fortunately, the pain attacks have stopped. Citrulline is well suited for endurance in aerobic exercise, but not that helpful for bodybuilding.
Hmmmm have you tried cutting down on carbs and sugar and alcohol for a month.? I noticed a couple of years ago red wine would give me terrible digestive problems.
I never took up drinking. I always exclude foods with added sugar.@@dirtwhisperer658
I am type 2 diabetes and have suffered from ED for over 2 years, viagra doesn't work, I am not able to get any ejection at all.
L-Arginine every night before work so it's my day for graveyard shift and Citrulline in the AM before workout which would be the night for me, strong all day even seen increase in resting size. Confidence boosted, always ready better than 20 yrs ago 😊

Well I’ve taken Cialis! They worked amazingly! But I lost my optic nerve!
Hope it was worth it.
Correct?
Could be the seat, also high level endurance athletes have lower testerone on average
Do some Kegals‘s and pelvic floor stretches
Very informative video! Thank you. Is there a way I can test the supplements I'm taking to ensure they have what they claim to have?

I heard mix reviews on DHEA... When should someone supplement with it?
At first, I thought you wrote "Porn Juice." I guess I need to check my eyesight as well.

58, pretty healthy, been taking two small scoops of citruline malate a day, roughly 10,000MG. Does nothing at nighttime, but have noticed improvement in firmness during playtime. Note I’ve taken L Arginine and L Arginine/Citruline combined supplements, and Citruline malate by itself has worked best for me.

I'm 73 and developed ED after prostate surgery. Do you think shockwave and citrulline might help?
Try everything within reason. The doctors don't know what will work for you ahead of time.
go for penile implant

@Rene Malik : What about maca? Does it help too?
