  • Learn how to make 3D printed parts. In this video, we'll discuss the aspects that you need to consider when designing for 3D printing, to create accurate parts. Design, materials and the different 3D printing technologies will be reviewed in relation to dimensional accuracy. This 3D printing video is mostly for beginners trying to understand the technology better.
00:00 Introduction to this video on dimensionally accurate 3D Printed parts.
00:17 First, we'll discuss how the design of your 3D Printed part affects dimensional accuracy.
00:46 Second, 3D Printed materials will be covered and how they can influence part accuracy.
01:07 Third, here we'll start to talk about the different 3D Printing technologies. FDM is the first 3D Printing technology that will be discussed. We provide problems and solutions that occur when using Fused Deposition Modelling.
02:07 Fourth, SLA. Here, you'll also get acquainted with the do's and don't to create dimensionally accurate 3D Printed parts.
02:40 Fifth, we're going to discuss how you can create dimensionally accurate 3D Printed parts by using SLS or selective laser sintering.
03:26 Sixth, Material Jetting. Material Jetting is considered the most accurate 3D Printing technology. Find out why and how you can use it to your advantage.
04:10 Finally, Metal 3D Printing. We'll explain how to create accurate parts with metal 3D Printing.
    05:21 Rules of Thumb

Hi Protolabs, I’m a recently separated U.S. Navy service member and landed a position with 3D Systems. I’d love a copy of 3D Printing Handbook!

I wanted to get into this back in 2016. Decided to wait for the tech to improve and become more affordable. It's crazy how poor 3D prints still are. I remember hearing people say that the tech has improved rapidly but it really doesn't seem like there are any consumer printers that can produce anything with any kind of precision

need more details and some techinical data image comparation.
for example Aditiv manufacturing(metal printing) need to take in acount the closed caity and dont let powder inside. Make in zero G can be a good solution.
Or some kind of 3D printer whe its work like INK impresion from HP. they get the laser and the powder and drop it in exact moment to make the image instead to fill all the botom with powder.
