For anyone wondering, the guy on drums is the drummer from The Protest. I just saw them the other day. They're on tour with Seventh Day Slumber and I talked to the drummer. He's cool. He talked about how he's filling in for Skillet on some dates that aren't on the days his own band is playing lol. When he is with Skillet. Seventh Day Drummer's drummer fills in for The Protest
I have loved Skillet since discovering them six years ago. Sadly my brother didn't like rock for a long time. Just this past year I got him to listen to a few Skillet songs and he fell in love. 😁

6th time listening, and I gotta say, this song is almost as good as monster/awake and alive (my favs) Tho, Dead Man Walking isn't as good, prob down at the Rise level
@@shadowphantom66 I didn't say it was a bad song, nor Rise, it's actually one of the betters in the Rise album, but Rise gets repetetive really quickly, Dead man walking feels like it's gonna suffer the same fate, but then again, that's my opinion. But we'll have to see, seems like studio version is gonna sound very different, seeing that John used a microphone during certain parts. And with this song, it's Lacey's voice we hear, guessing that with Jen it's gonna be better (as it's her voice that's intended)
I like the rhythm and it sounds good musically. Chorus sounds all too familiar, though. The best thing I can say about Skillet nowadays is that they make music that is generally pleasant to listen to. I'd like to see more ambition and profoundness in their music. Are they still with Atlantic? Maybe that's a problem...
@@realahsokatano5046 Because I've read in the past that Skillet has had trouble getting certain songs, such as Awake and Alive, on the record because their label discouraged it. Basically, I wonder if there are some quality songs they write that we don't get to hear. I'm just speculating, though. Maybe I even remember wrong...
@@realahsokatano5046 I think it was Atlantic. Maybe it was the producer of that album. Regardless, I don't remember if John divulged exactly why. It's been years since I heard about this.
@@JakeS4636 The album is releasing this summer but I believe one (Or maybe two??) songs will be released as singles this month (Being May 2019). So yeah, this song should be released soon enough.
I think jen ledger is amazing but these videos so that jen can be replaced if that day comes. Lacey and jarob are doing a great job filling in for jen cant wait till jen is back. Think it be amazing to keep lacey and have her and jen singing jens parts together would sound amazing. Hope jen never leaves skillet.
