Thank you very much Colin. This is a great instructional video. I have just order a Sizzix Big Shot plus and am hoping for better results than I currently get with my cold laminating press. Just one question: What do you mean when you say that for flat areas of colour you use screen print? Is this a different ink or method?
Thank you Judy. I was just being a bit sarcastic- referring to a worry that I hear from some linocut beginners, who seem to want dead flat, totally solid areas of ink. One of the appeals of linocuts to me is that slight texture from a nice thin layer of ink. Screenprint (silkscreen, serigraphy) a completely different printing method however can lay down absolutely flat solid ink in every degree of transparency or opacity and is very quick…..but not as interesting!
