@unseengtv7586 th-cam.com/video/Pb8UndCJ2WM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=fpm99Ujfc3d0GfoY I rather have him say it himself. 1.5 or 1.8 of his own money. BMF never put up bread for Jeezy like that. Now wacc blue yea but Jeezy had his own
This album is CLASSIC. Quick story: I was in college when Jeezy first started popping outside of Atlanta. We went to South Beach for spring break and saw Dodge Magnums with BMF logos everywhere. We had no idea who they were and almost got into a fight with some of them in front of a club that turned out to be where Jeezy shot one of his first music videos. We got back home and saw a Beef or Smack DVD and saw BMF with the mayor of Miami and they were explaining who they were. We dodged multiple bullets lol. Then we started hearing Jeezy's mixtapes everywhere. Then this album dropped that summer. We were in Greensboro, NC and literally every car playing music loud was playing something off this album. I didn't even like Jeezy's mixtapes, but I couldn't deny this album. Cool Breeze (from the Dungeon Family) is who I think gets credited with bringing the idea of trap music to rap, TI started the genre of Trap Music, but Gucci and Jeezy really popularized it as a genre everybody wanted to be part of.
Yeah Jeezy is Trap as I knew it. I dunno what Trap is now, I searched some up and I don't even recognize it. I have no idea when that change happened tbh but this album is genuinely a defining monumental point in rap. Kids just won't get it and I feel old saying this ish.
I remember when this album first dropped my school sent notes home that any student wearing a snowman shirt would be sent home. They called them “drug paraphernalia”😂⛄️
FINALLY!!! ❤❤❤ I’m a little upset that you didn’t give pops the whole rundown, beforehand, and react to the “Trap or Die” mixtape first but I’ll live 😂
@@BridgingTheGapYTHey BridgingTheGap, Can you guys please react to Cole World: The Sideline Story by J. Cole? I feel like you guys should get back into more J. Cole!
Unc adding the album half way through was amazing! Sorry my man but I think I’m closer to your dad’s age to you and I LOVE watching him reacting to stuff he missed but I listened to .
I remember when this dropped when I was young and it felt like entire new era somehow. Kids genuinely won't understand and I feel so old saying that. So many fucking insane beats and the album was just so different from everything in the mainstream at that point and Jeezy rides them perfectly with those adlibs as well. This album felt like a true defining moment. Standing Ovation, Trapstar, Air Forces, And Then What, Bottom of the Map, the bass on Get Ya Mind Right....every single song, the album is flawless from front to back. I'm a T-R-A-P-S-T-AR.....
This is in my top 5 albums of all time, I’ve been listening since about 92! This album is a straight banger, I couldn’t stop blasting it when it released.
I think a lot of folks forget about the timing of when this album came out. My cousin from the south put me on to the Trap or Die mixtape before most folks in Chicago knew about Jeezy. So when this album dropped and they heard the very first track, it was absolutely crazy. I remember we were at a BBQ in the park out south and I just played the album out my car. Everyone was like who is that?
Love this album I had 5 snowman tees and Nike dunks with a stitched snowman on the side as far as fashion influence it was dipset gunit rocawear and the snowman for me in highschool
When this album came out, it didn’t leave my cd player in my car for a good month maybe longer. Nellys first album had its run too but this one was one I just threw in and no matter who was riding with me was vibing to it. Classic ! I could tell you a story of me riding from Knoxville down to ATL and may or may not have taken something there to…. Well leave it at that.
You got a NEW SUBSCRIBER!!! YOU REACTED TO A ALBUM NOT MANY REACTORS EVEN GIVE ITS PROPER DUE!!! IM FROM THE SOUTH, AND THIS WAS OUR "GET RICH OR DIE TRYIN OF THE SOUTH"
One of the best rap albums ever produced super underrated artist especially in his generation he gets lost in the shuffle which is unfortunate amazing artist doesn’t get talked about enough or get enough love
For anyone my exact age, you def know the Jeezy vibe. It took over. All the high schools in my area had to ban the snowman t shirts we all was rocking once they found out what it meant 😂
Out of the three, Word of Mouf def a classic and I fw it hard.. Urban Legend, ehhh 🤷🏿♂️ but this really shifted the game and had OVERALL replay value from back then and still holds til now!! 👏🏿 Standing Ovation
I’ll actually be listening to this for the first time with y’all, go for either KissLand, or the 7 year anniversary album of Kush and OJ, it’s sweet and short and produced by CARDOOOOO
@@BridgingTheGapYT I loved that one ❤️ there’s an additional 3 tracks, it’s not a deluxe, and you can just give it a listen on your own time if you want

I think this album should've been on apples top 100 albums of all time
I can’t remember if it came out in 05 or 07 but digital albums weren’t a thing yet…. This album is definitely top 10 rap albums of all time in my book
Fun Fact: The Money in those boxes on the album cover, is 1 million dollars cash provided by BMF. Free Meech! 💯
False it's 2 million provided my Jeezy himself
@@Bignay95 No sir, 1M, Jeezy had almost all of it and BMF brought the rest. These are his own words.
