Nice to see someone else that actually turns ends and caps snaplock ends.. been doing these 20 years and most don't do it. Also someone that cuts all trim into together rather than just overlap
I’ve watched your videos for a year now and I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone work so hard to make things perfect. You truly are a Professional!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
You should stop watching because the drip edge goes on before anything else yo avoid water daming up and ice damage. He should know that by now if you been watching for a year. Water runs down hill. You must buck water.
For me, the ideas in th-cam.com/users/postUgkxy_pn55PK60wAV3X_C_RoLS_67mNonoCE Plans were a starting point for building different sheds . Ryan gives ideas that allow an individual to draw nicest conclusions into the design and building of his or her own shed.
Have shown my builder son here in Tasmania Aus ,a couple of your vids on finishing metal window trim. He now does it the same after watching your method. Reckons it is faster, simpler and creates a better finish.
I see so many crews on metal roof jobs who just rush to throw a job together. Their hips, valley's, and ridges look like crap compared to yours. You two are "Masters" at your craft. The reality is you guyz are just as fast. So Well Done.
Ever think of having an old plastic drum or the like on the lift for chucking all the small off cuts into rather than on the floor? Nice to see the shear in action, that looks like it could make easy work of any stray fingers! You can really get through the runs when on a straight roof with no hips etc. Looks great!
I wish you guys were here in Alabama I like the way you taped the beginning of the stage while Greg was down there doing whatever Greg does hurry up Greg
Thanks so much for this metal roof series , I just happen to have a metal roof project I’m bidding on . Thanks for the helpful info to help me get started . Steve Dare
Kyle, my man, I just wanna say that the work you do is second to none. It’s obvious that you are passionate about what you do, and the effort you put into your work truly shines; It’s all about the details!
Solid advice to LP, surely something they could consider as a really reputable company, it’s surprising they don’t already have them precut to allowing the 16 on centre spacing
18:49 That’s 100% bada** and so so cool. Time saving process right there when doing a lot, compared to us8mg snips by hand; & would see the appeal of having one of these. Still though, it’s a beast at how it “cuts” that metal💪🏻 19:17 Another beautiful metal roof from Kyle & Greg😄 AND love the attention to detail you guys put into EVERY build. Those “little” things is what makes ppl take notice; and they do “add” to the build. Great job, imo👍🏻👍🏻 Cheers✌🏻
A professional who is exacting and has a work ethic above Par and who is willing to share his knowledge so anyone who actually cares about their clients and doing a professional excellent job has absolutely NO excuse whatsoever to continue to do a bad job. Learn the right way, do it to the best of your ability, a,ways be improving or leave the business so those who do care can give customers their money’s wort!!!
Looks awesome! Can't wait to see the rest of the trim work! I did notice the gap get bigger at the hip:P Easier to answer it once in the video than a whole bunch of times in the comment section:)
So I agree with the taping of the trim to the roof deck bite what is the return for on the trim piece? And all eve should be installed then string lined to make sure it is straight there for your first panel that way you can 6/8/10 the first panel installation. If you do not string line, nothing is going to be true
You make it look easy. But, I'm a learning. Thank you for teaching us arm chair warriors who point fingers.😄😄 Paying attention during math classes does wonders. My youngest daughter is a whiz at math. Calculus. And such. So it's very natural for her to correct my mistakes😊. And I don't mind. Now she added being an accountant. I'm a proud papa.
I thought was pretty good with spatial awareness and manipulation, then I see Kyle do these intricate corner miters. Always impresses me. Nice work! Thanks for staying!
Like the video and the attention to detail and quality of work. I have a standing seam roof on my home and live on a mountain that gets it's fair share of snow during the winter. What is the best system of snow guards to put on this type of roof in your opinion? Thanks in advance.
@6:21 when your cutting the standing seam is anything to go onto that cut? Eg a cap for the seam or a colored seam sealer? We had a roof put on & I think it looks like it should. Thank you
Very different from the standing double seams we do in Sweden. Not going up the top wall? Not closing the standing seams edge at the bottom part? And how does the 45 degree ridges look like when finished? As a vocational teacher I´m always curious on how things are done in different countries! Cheers
Not trying to pick a part the installation but just curious along with maybe helping add knowledge to the installation so jazz where is the Bread paning on the top of these panels?
I have a 23'9" length flat roof carport that currently has torche down and I would like to replace it with this metal roof. Will if leak if I use 2 of 12' long and overlap 3"?
The eve trimmed as not have to be overlapped anywhere near as far as you did it. One inch is sufficient anything more and you can blatantly see the laps
You need a traufen schlieser to crimp your metal on the bottom. We do a lot of standing roofs and it's definitely a time saver. Also wondering how you like your snap table pro, i haven't used one but was thinking about buying one. just curious do you save a lot of time by using one?
So at 12:02 those panel that you completed on the left when you put the right side on...what if the gap in-between the left and right is about 4 inches and other spot are 2 inches? Still be ok since the hip cap is still to be installed?
On your easements.......can someone use expandable foam rather than foam closures? I'm building a deer blind out of reclaimed materials. Don't know if I should leave the easements open, or seal them off. Any tips?
You put the drip metal on before anything and the paper goes over the metal. Even taping it to the paper will still cause problems and a lump in the roofing tin. You would be our clean up guy. Paper, metal, tape the metal over the paper. Not how you do it at all rookies.
How do you suppose you will put underlayment over that hem across the top of the drip edge. I'm pretty sure this guy knows that the drip goes underneath the underlayment. Doesn't look feasible with this style of trim.
I'm a standing seam expert because I saw it on TH-cam. Honestly, I have only seen it done in real life and on here. You didn't crimp the overlap seams where the panels lap over. Does this system use nibs that lock it together?
Kyle and Greg. Thanks for the great videos you make. I would like to know what hand shears you use and why?. I do armored glass in vehicles and have to cut retention straps on the A-pillar in the vehicle after the windshield is installed. I can never get a clean cut. Can you please advise and recommend some metal hand shears to get either a left or right cut. Thank you
Nice to see someone else that actually turns ends and caps snaplock ends.. been doing these 20 years and most don't do it. Also someone that cuts all trim into together rather than just overlap

Man I love your work you take pride in your work unbelievable we don’t have many contractors in are country that cares anymore
the gutter guys thank you for the work put into that corner at 11:52. That slitter on the snap table is AWESOME!
I see so many crews on metal roof jobs who just rush to throw a job together. Their hips, valley's, and ridges look like crap compared to yours. You two are "Masters" at your craft. The reality is you guyz are just as fast. So Well Done.
Thanks
Being in custom cabinet since the late 70's I understand being exact on your measuring!!! Nice work!!
Kyle and Greg, good job and looks great ! Thanks for sharing. Y'all stay safe and have a good one
So, weekend here, sitting in the sun with a beer and a cigar watching someone who constantly does a great job...thank you!
I wish I was in the sun
@@RRBuildings awesome work!
That snap table is badass.
Ever think of having an old plastic drum or the like on the lift for chucking all the small off cuts into rather than on the floor? Thanks for making these videos. Quality workmanship and team work.
I wish you guys were here in Alabama I like the way you taped the beginning of the stage while Greg was down there doing whatever Greg does hurry up Greg
We have a multipanel roll former from garland, we make all our own with or without striations.
That is a grateful job guys I would like to work with you guys for sure.
Thanks so much for this metal roof series , I just happen to have a metal roof project I’m bidding on . Thanks for the helpful info to help me get started .

Thanks for yet another awesome video Kyle! Oh and Greg for president! 👍😁
Kyle, my man, I just wanna say that the work you do is second to none. It’s obvious that you are passionate about what you do, and the effort you put into your work truly shines; It’s all about the details!
Looking great as always 👍 excellent work love your workmanship 👍👍
Your skills are amazing!
Thanks man... still have much to learn
nice idea sir very informative tips, god bless,,,, watching from phillipines....
Solid advice to LP, surely something they could consider as a really reputable company, it’s surprising they don’t already have them precut to allowing the 16 on centre spacing
Как всегда на высшем уровне профессионализма👍
That slitter is legit bad ass my wrist and fingers already feel so much better just watching you demonstrate it 😂
Another job well done. keep up the good work.
You should do an up close benchtop corner joint cut with those snips. That would be cool
18:49 That’s 100% bada** and so so cool.
Time saving process right there when doing a lot, compared to us8mg snips by hand; & would see the appeal of having one of these.

My favorite thing about carpentry...
The learning never stops
Kyle the Metal Origami Master!!!
Good job
Man I really wish he would do a video on how you do inside and outside corners
Hi sir thank for your tip that is amazing for me ,God bless you, I wish some day can do my job like you,,my name is luis from,, Indiana
Awsome series, Much needed.
Love your work man
Yes clean WORK.

You are an artist on the metal roofing!
7:50 that Forest Gump feather 🪶
........"don't tell anyone we were a 16th off"........ 😆 🤣 love the attention to detail and precision........ excellent content as always...... 👍
Looks awesome! Can't wait to see the rest of the trim work! I did notice the gap get bigger at the hip:P Easier to answer it once in the video than a whole bunch of times in the comment section:)
Great job!!
I see you put some butyle tape on that drip edge as well for double protection. Nice 👍
Nice work
I do metal roofs and I would like all roofs to be as easy as this one hahaha.
Хорошая Работа!
He said "Don't tell anyone we are a 1/16th off." Most people would say with in a 1/6th is perfect
Easy to Install but little different as we do Standing Seam in Europe.
Greetings from Germany Martin
You know that your having a good day when your only one sixteenth off. Aaah, the satisfaction!
It scares me a little bit that this is 3 years old.. but i eatched it on day one, which felt like spring this year lol
Bro it looks great and i would order the same way
Dobra robota!
2:05 Looks like a good idea.

Kyle a good builder would only be off a 32nd inch off. Just kiding as always great job.
You make it look easy. But, I'm a learning. Thank you for teaching us arm chair warriors who point fingers.😄😄

Good to put some plastic mash like 10- 15mm on gips under steel
I'm surprised to see you don't turn up the ends of your sheet, mechanical weathering is pretty bulletproof
good amazing 💪💪

I have “ cupped some hips” in my day... (where can I find the instrumental at the end of the video?)
The eve trimmed as not have to be overlapped anywhere near as far as you did it. One inch is sufficient anything more and you can blatantly see the laps
I always have nails or rivets in my mouth for way longer than they need to be like you do 😂
been binging @marhallremodel 's build and finally caught up, good to see your video's again!
please put a ''BUY'' direct link to get a exactly same belt , same configuration like the on his using .
Can you show a more detailed video of how you did that corner miter. Please!!!
Roof panels, not barn siding
Good stuff.
Bye from italy..Aosta Valley
The right tools are nice but there's a lot of eyeball work going on here. Looks great

Have you installed standing seam directly to purlins similar to exposed fastener roofing?
Would it be OK to fasten to the plywood?
Do you ever do above-sheathing ventilation under metal? Like, using purlins to create the air-space?
So at 12:02 those panel that you completed on the left when you put the right side on...what if the gap in-between the left and right is about 4 inches and other spot are 2 inches? Still be ok since the hip cap is still to be installed?

shouldn't there be a 1/4 or 1/2 inch space between the weatherlogic and the metal panel?
One thing I don't see is a air barrier on your roofs. Any reason why you don't run anything under your metal roof to get some airflow?
Why not tape the sheathing to the facia and let any moisture go under?
You put the drip metal on before anything and the paper goes over the metal. Even taping it to the paper will still cause problems and a lump in the roofing tin. You would be our clean up guy. Paper, metal, tape the metal over the paper. Not how you do it at all rookies.

Top!
Hey just wondering why you don’t fold your tops ?
I am a little curious should we be using the clips to hold the panels down or screwing directly into the metal like you guys are doing which is better
TALK TALK TALK TALK.......................................
How would you suggest cutting angles without the special cutting tool you used
With snips
I'm a standing seam expert because I saw it on TH-cam. Honestly, I have only seen it done in real life and on here. You didn't crimp the overlap seams where the panels lap over. Does this system use nibs that lock it together?
you deserved a 🍺
What brand and model of roofing materials did you go with there are so many different ones it’s hard to know the differences
What happens with the condensation ? I’ve seen people doing ventilated metal roof with a membrane, which allows for the condensation to week out.
Can you at any point install SS metal roofing over wood battens?
Sharp looking color. What do you expect it to look like 10- 20 yrs. from now?
Dusty.
What is the type and brand metal nibbler you use to cut metal with?
Any other recommendations for accessories?
Do you check and measure that your panels are running continuously parallel, or do the sheets run true?
Love the content! From Australia 🔨
Привет . Там где порез 45° нужен загиб высоты волны примерно 3 см в 90° для меньшего попадания воды
Hi Kyle! Watched all your videos. When can you come to Southern Idaho and build my 80' X 50' Post Frame home?
…..and after he’s done with that he can come to Florida and do my metal roof!
cool
Kyle and Greg. Thanks for the great videos you make. I would like to know what hand shears you use and why?. I do armored glass in vehicles and have to cut retention straps on the A-pillar in the vehicle after the windshield is installed. I can never get a clean cut. Question: why no flashing/tape from Weatherlogic sheathing to roof decking?
