I used to love riding on these buses back in my younger days! They bring me positive memories!

8:04 sounded so funny because of their damn A/C on high just like 2000-02 Nova LFs from Chicago CTA.

I had a dream that 205 Orion Vs numbered 3500-3704 came to Septa. 3500-3599 were delivered in 1992-93 with the Detroit Diesel 6v92 engine with Voith transmissions while 3591-3599 came with Cummins M10 engines and Allison HT-748 transmissions. 3600-3704 were delivered in 1994 with the Series 50 engine along with Allison B400 transmissions while during their overhaule process, 3500-3599 were repowered by the Series 50 and the Allison B400. Most left by 2009 and were all retired by 2010. In my dream, I luckily caught 3553 as a rodeo bus, 3610 under Hybrid service and 3701 as a transpass sales bus renumbered to 5951.

Pretty interesting dream and you know what that's kind of interesting how SEPTA never made any moves towards Orion

I’m taking you don’t like the Allison HTB-747 in these Orion Vs, which I can agree cause the 747 sounds like crap in the Orion Vs in general. If these were powered by 748s, then your opinion would’ve been different.

I was 4 years old when the 1993 Orions came out. That engine SUCKED! The second that bus pulled off, I'm like "What the. . . is this bus tired or something?" I loved the look of the bus, but that stupid engine always tricked me, lol 😂😂😂. So to this day I feel you, about that engine, lol. Any time I saw those buses rolling around Staten Island I be hoping to hear the engine in the 1995-96 Orion, instead of this. Thankfully in the early 2000s the MTA did change the DD6V92 to the Allison transmission, which made the buses sound much better and more attractive, especially when I rode them throughout High School. But now I miss the sound of that engine, and these buses themselves. I watch your videos with the recording of this bus's engine to reminisce growing up in the 90s. Some pleasant days. These were the iconic 90s, like all our favorite sitcoms and served NYC to the fullest. 🙂

I agree and I have the same feelings as a kid the sound didn't feel right to me as if it didn't match the look and design of the bus itself but as an adult it sound alright and brings back memories

Memories indeed. I remember July 4, 2002, I was 13 back then. I was with my grandmother on an rts bus in the M6 riding to central park and back, and when we were at a stop, I saw 175 go by, wishing I was on it for some reason, just to hear what it sounded like inside, being obsessed with all the different fleet numbers, lol. But yes, such good iconic memories. 😊
