Once again Mr. Johnson aka Dr.RTS . You had brought me back to my Highschool Days as well as my young Adulthood while I had worked as outdoor Messager in City. I really miss riding up down the mean streets of NYC Brooklyn or Queens. NYC isn't the same without them ! Champ 🏆

Man, I grew up with those RTS when it was out of Micheal J Quill Depot. I will always take them on the M50, M20, M42, M66, And M104 When It Was Out Of Micheal J Quill. I will forever miss these and I’m sorry that I used to not like them. (I Rode Them Between 2009 (Since I Was Born) Till 2018.

That was the Bus for New York City!! I spent my whole life so far riding every model year of the RTS. Long Live the RTS (1981-2019) Though I think #5227 is preserved from these

I caught 5149 on the B44 on April 15, 2019.
5111 was a half back
She was an oreo back
5149 made me want it to be my dream vehicle. I hope that unit is safe and alright somewhere. That 5149 had Bass to it like Miami Bass Hip Hop.

Yeah, this year is the Last year having these 1999 Novabus RTS buses.
I remember taking the 1999 nova bus rts on the Q50 from Bronx to Queens.
I use to take them on the B45 B46 and B41 Routes Also I still miss them

I never knew 5149 was so precious. I actually caught that black back starting service on the B41 Limited. Looks like it is at Flatbush at the moment.

+Kal-El Johnson I actually filmed it departing. Has a really strong transmission inside. It's on my channel. I was waiting for this bus to depart, because my channel needed black back buses. So, I filmed it departing, and when I saw this video, that is what made my video a true piece of work. A bus that is passed on from three different depots. I am glad to see what kind of reviews you would do for the following future. Looking foward to watching them!

Hey, I never knew these rts have a good engine. Sounds pretty good.
These are the 2008-09 Novabus RTS's the last buses in NYCT, arranged from 4900-5249.
4900-4903 being the 2008 models.
4904-5249 being the 2009 models.
These Buses are signified to use of the Cummins ISB 07 Engines (BAE Hybridrive System).

And these NovaBus RTS buses from 1999 sounded the same as the GMC & TMC RTS buses with the 6v92 engine.

Its a damn shame that Flatbush Had to give up all those GOOD ZF RTSs to Ulmer Park. fuck you ULMER PARK!!! Shouldve sent them to Grand Avenue or Jamaica. Trust me Even the Bronx needs it

I miss #5127 with the black back its currently at Micheal J. Quill Depot
Both 5141 and 5127 are Manhattanville originals and are currently at Quill where they'll most likely stay

4900 to 44 went to Jamaica in 2005

I think Queens Village is going to get 5149. Then probaly West Farms. Then Micheal J. Quill. Probaly Manhattavile after this. Then MTA Bus. MTA IF YOU LOOKING AT THIS DO WHATEVER THE FUCK WITH 5149 JUST DONT SEND IT TO LAGUARDIA. EVEN JFK IS BETTER.
They need to make new RTS when RTS came to west farms depot I was really happy TOO MANY ORION 7's CNG's I HATE THAT
