You're an artist and each video is a master class in watch repair and servicing. I find these videos very restful, calming, and meditative. In 25 years, 50 years, 100 years or more somebody will come across one of your restored watches, take it in for servicing and the technician will be amazed that it's still running. Rock on.

Beautiful work Spencer. I serviced and restored a similar watch for a client a few months back. A ton of oiling points in these 7016s. Beautiful watch.

Wow! This is such a cool piece and it was really fun to watch you do some of the stuff that we don’t normally see in the videos.

The Daini division sure made some
    innovative movements...
    I like the 51xx, 52xx, and 45s.
    Thanks Spencer!

Awesome to watch you finally tackle this movement. One of my favorite Seiko movements

This is such a gorgeous watch :). Do you know if the 7018 case opens up the same way this one does?

    Pump Up The Volume.
    Dance. Dance. Dance.
Equally so, Yo Baby Yo Baby Yo.
The eighties were so much fun. The 1980s.

Great video thanks Spencer. I have one of these I bought in Hong Kong in 1974 and still wear it occasionally although the glass (Perspex??) is quite scratched. What is the difference between the -5000 and the -5001? Been looking to buy a replacement glass for it and just wondered if there’s a difference. Thanks!

Typically the last number talks about the geographic area the specific model was destined for. Sometimes it indicates actual physical differences. I'm not sure with this watch of yours. The crystal will be acrylic - SA0W55AN00.

I´m surprised to see that it has only 17 jewels.
What´s the difference between the 7016 and 7016A?

I have one of these and the chrono works fine, but the stem action is faulty, the day changes with a push and the date can be adjusted but the crown action is sloppy on first pull and will not pull further to adjust the handset.
I'm hoping the issue is with the setting lever and spring and the yoke clutch lever.
The stem release is there, but I am going to have to buy a specific holder to refit the handset once repaired.

Are these cam or column wheel (I thought the latter)? Vertical clutch?

I have a Nos blue dial version of this watch.
It still has the case back sticker on.
It's never been serviced, so I don't wear it.

Spencer you just made me sad. I had this exact watch with original bracelet in near mint condition. I ended up trading it. Oh well!
