I'm not moving all that heavy stuff puppy! (proceeds to move the stuff so Echo-Pup can hunt) Everytime. He's got you trained for sure. 😂 I'd be hard not to cave to a face like that.
Pergola is looking great. Trimming and weed whacking looks like a satisfying task, but when you got up on top of the pergola, it was dizzying. I really liked the background music. Sounds Celtic.
@@WhittAcres You may want to later think of a garden mister or bubbler for those Hummers. I tried the solar ones from Amazon that didn't work well for me. Not enough direct overhead sun I guess in South Central PA. You're the creative guy. I'm sure you can come up with some innovative ideas or hook up to your already existent water source at the garden pond/geyser. ❤️
Awesome Cody! Beautiful and looking forward to the evolution of the Pergola garden. Are you a Master Gardener? You have a lot of variety of plants and knowledge about them. I know 2 Master Gardeners and always enjoy seeing their gardens. 🌿🌱🌳🌸🪷🪻💐🌾
It looks like a great place to have coffee & read a bit in the morning! 😊 i suppose it takes a few years of 'training' the plants to arch...it's beautiful!! Does Echo just kill the moles or does he eat them, too? My little deck garden (in pots!) Is starting to pop with flowers! We've had lots of rain & sunshine! You'll have to show how you make the gourd-houses! I like them! You did a great job!! 💕
Amazing how you can identify all these plants, not only that you got your hands full at your work and taking care of your animals, but you also find time to do all these projects! Your flowers look absolutely amazing. Maybe this year I would restart my project of raising marigolds, zinnia, and butterfly pea plants Speaking of tropical vines, do butterfly pea plants grow in your climate?
It all looks beautiful. I love the hostas. My mom always loved those. I can’t grow them here where I live now…it’s too hot and too sunny. I have no shade in my yard. however, I have a beautiful cactus that blooms bright orange flowers every year. It’s spectacular.
Nature has it all! @963janet I wish I could get a good cactus going outside. And I feel you @davidclancy3885 When it's supposed to be warm it should be warm.
Before laying your bark, trying spraying the area w a mixture of Vinegar, a bit of Dawn and hot water. Just put it in a backpack sprayer. It works really good to kill weeds naturally. For your bigger weeds like Dandilions and Thistle, use a Weed Poker to remover them then add 2-4 pieces of Rock Salt in the hole. The salt will continue to kill the root w/o killing the soil around it.
The Pergola looks Great, Cody!🙂 Do you like Moon flowers? I had some and at one time I had up to 13 blooms at once as big as a dinner plates! They smelled wonderful, too!
Love all improvements you just did on the pergola As far as a plant suggestion... I would suggest a hardy hibiscus for Zone 6A. There is a variety called Bluebird that is cold hardy (Zone 4 - 9) and it's a very pretty blue to purple
Great edits with the pics, cool to see what the gourds will look like ❤ I gotta get some and plant them one year .i need more free bird houses lol i swear they'd be EVERYWHERE(and will be one day lol) 😂
Ya know i was just thinking ,i can't wait to hear Cody say ........"now let's go see what "insert future wife's name here" (lol ) is doing over with the baby chickens" , or " let's go check on "whoever " over at the pig barn, WE JUST HAD PIGLETS huh pup! " and there's a walk around the farm to said area and there is your partner, your other half and you 2 fit together like barn gloves lol ......as the great Yoda would say.....lol....🤷♀️ ........ good future for you i see lol 🔮🎱😂🤦🏻♀️😂
@@WhittAcres there are hardy palms that withstand the winter. I have some growing on my balcony here in ireland.. But i guess you know your zone best.. Also i did not see any agapantis..? Sorry cant spell it 🤣in your garden.. I love your iris specialy that orange one... I have never seen it before,, hope the ladies are all well this morning 👌
I tried to clean my flowerbed but got attract by bee’s got stung three times had to quit. Need rain bad need week maybe a promise hope so. Love how you land scape your garden and the pergola . What kind of work you do away from home? If you dont mind me asking ? You could use ;climbing rose , golden hops , climbing hydrangea , trumpet vine , wisteria , crimson glory vine , honeysuckle , Rangoon creeper , clematis any of these would work. Their is some that grows in pots you could set close to pergola .
Such a beautiful dog ❤😊
I'm back to watch my animals ❤😊😊farm
I love purple too.💜💜💜

So relatable. I say no also, but I can't resist when the fur kids want my help.

Thank you!

Wow. Trumpet vines and honeysuckle. Oh my. You'll have tons of hummingbirds. My favorite! ❤
That's the plan!

I do have a video on making the birdhouses but I'm sure it could be updated
Fantastic! I think a few passion flowers would look and do well on the pergola ❤

Thanks! And I agree, The butterfly peas need to be grown in the Spring or Fall here bc they don't like the heat too much.
Well that looks so much better! I admire your work ethic. You accomplish what you set out to do. The natural wood plank path is very nice.
Thank you! Much appreciated!

@@WhittAcres Yep, too wet and too cold for an outdoor cactus there. I rarely even water mine.
I am soooo jealous of your hostas!! They are uniformly shaped, sized and green. Mine looked so pitiful, I couldn't keep them.
Oh no! Good thing is they keep coming back!
@@WhittAcres - i only had 1 place to plant them at my apt & they just did not thrive.

We had honeysuckle on each side of the front porch when I was growing up. The hummingbirds loved it!
They do!
Looking good! Maybe some monsteras, canas, or elephant ears. Looking great either way!
The mosteras wont make it here but the others could
Those vines look fantastic. Good job!

The fall clematis after its done blooming will die off and have floating seeds. Watch them it can take over the gardens.
Great work codi the place looks great.. Have you ever taught about some hardy palms or a tree fern for the tropical garden..
That would be nice, I cant use palms unless I want to bring them inside every year.

Pergola looks great! I'm partial to hibiscus, but would there be enough sun?
There might be in some spots, i have them in other gardens, but I think I could use more!

I have a honeysuckle plant but mine's bigger than yours. Mine kind of looks like a tree. Mine the Japanese one.
do you have a leaf blower? it is very handy for cleaning paths.
Indeed, it blows the mulch from between the steps as well so a broom happens to work better here
Does he eat the moles?
No, he usually buries them
