Essaouira is known by its windy weather. You should have come south Essaouira to Agadir, Taghazout ( surf town )

Also, some sellers jack prices for tourists. If you know French, talk to them in French and bargain as much as you can. Unless prices are written on a board, if they say 20 DH, say 5DH and then you can settle on 10DH maybe.. At least try it.
I have nothing against the sellers, they are trying to make a living, but some of them would wanna exploit tourists.. I guess you quickly learn how it works..
