Great video. It still baffles me of how the Pearson Tower controllers, have so many tower positions, between Ground, Clearance Delivery, North/South positions and how they combine or separate positions, between peak and off-peak times. I have visited my local FSS site multiple times over the last 10 + years. IFR controllers do an amazing job too! I've always wondered how the "cross-coupling" works with the Comm. box.
@@TheAviatorsTV When a die-hard aviation fan is tuned in to a given airspace, one can only imagine how much work the IFR controller is doinv, to ensure that flight is safe and well separated. Strip-writing, airspace management, site-to-site co-ordination, etc.
lol @ 4:46 I saw the "blue screen of death" and was like *NO WAY* but it was something else. Wouldn't that be pleasant? (ATC voice) "...Speedbird 3044 cleared to land, runway....wtf? Ahh....Speedbird 3044 please wait while I reboot my PC and pray it comes back up."
I hope you get to be a pilot...its Amazing!!! Go for it and dont let anyone stop you also...learn as much as you can- start reading up on it....get Flight sim for your computer if you dont have it already....learn the different types of airplanes and the control surfaces such as parts of the wing , rudder what the engines do and how they work,, many many videos--out there- good luck
i am looking to be a maf pilot that is bush piloting and that means that i have to have over 10,000 hours of flying time to join as a pilot but to just get a PPL you need about 45 hours of flight time when i priced it up it would cost me about £7,500 to be able to have enough money for the training. it is pretty hard to do but i would say it is best to give it a try. i have been into planes since a was small and i got a flight sim on my old computer called FS9 made the same year i was born but now i have gotten more realistic flight sims
As for communication does it get broadcasted to all close by commerical aircrafts or do they all have specific channel to talk specifically to a single pilot thats something not sure on how the radar and transponder systems are setup is it always a broadcasted system i think it get to cumbersome and confusing?
ok so 2000 ft is the controlled area height curious whats the diameter range for the controlled space area and is it a standard control area or differ drastically between airports
Pheonix was the first airport in the USA to adopt electronic flight progress strips. It will take several years before the rest of the us transfers over. However, the recent completion of ERAM and STARS systems is one of the first major steps towards that goal
Yup. They manage to herd hundreds of pilots who don't really respect them all piloting essentially explosive bombs through a maze of asphalt and sky without colliding with each other, and they have to be perfect EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Seems fair to me.
I'd rather be the pilot... just saying but we need the people that say the same thing as me but say hell no i want to make sure that plane gets out of here safely
Awesome to see a guy so passionate about his career

We love and are fascinated by how controllers do what they do! :)

Fascinating and so interesting, thanks so much ✈✈✈😀
7:21 that "easy" button.
Great vid...I love the A340 of Lufthansa ^^
Amazing all those planes in the air. And they can control all of them
2:16 That's one looooooooooooooong Airbus.
Very interesting, the reason why I'm so interested is because I want to be a pilot when I grow up.

No. LM is the airport code prefix of Maltese airports. There are only 2 airports in Malta, and neither of them have that ICAO code.
Great video...!!
Great vid.
I wonder if there's an airport with the ICAO: LMAO :D
Just checked on FR24 and..unfortunately it doesn't exist
Great video 💐👍😎

Everyone on the frequency will receive the transmissions. There's a lot of channels though and frequency congestion isn't normally a issue

This is way late. But there's different airspace classes and each airport has customized dimensions.
Very interesting
Do ATCs at ny JFK & LAX have that sort of technology.
no

Imagine an emt attack and trying to figure this out from scratch
LMAO at the easy button.
i live an hour from Quesnel
So this is the job that pays 130,000 a year & is the most stressful job?

How did they get Reagan to narrate the intro to this?
Viva ATCs

Do you need a degree to do this
So you think I still need your degree or Advice. Okay, we will see who will win at the end
