In this format you are playing against the whole field not just your opponent! Just like in pro golf.

I think the reason why you can't concede any games is because it affects all players in the tournament. The score of a match affects all other players because the tournament is being ranked by all games won and lost. This tournament isn't about matches won and lost. This tournament is about total games won.

In some tours, you get penalized if you concede the game. But, they will allow you to concede the very last game on the 9-ball. This was done for the audience and so people weren't going in together and throwing matches.

I think this can only be done with new cloth. The ball spins and slides so much that you can get the cue ball to do things like that. Albin had the funny smile, looked at someone in the crowd and waved his hand to say sorry to his opponent. I don't think this is what he was trying to do. This would be fun to learn though.

No concession is the professional way to do it. A formality.
usual bs... whatever rules ,changing the colors of the balls, making sets instead of games,celebrating victories stepping on the table,etc. nonsense style of "formality" .we need a serius pool association
thats the new gen way of living everything has got to be their way not the old way even if old ways were way better.
