Pankaj Tripathi is sadly becoming more of Pankaj than the character he plays. It’s sad because one genuinely likes him.
I strongly disagree here. Playing vajpayee role is extremely hard especially his voice. Pankaj put in every effort especially in mannerism and voice too especially during parliament speeches. It didn't live upto how vajpayee but that doesn't make it weak perfomance. Also reminding you Robert de Niro is considered one of the greatest actor and he is himself in most films but only brings changes in nuances so does irrfhan khan.
With due respect I did not like Pankaj Tripathi in the trailer - not his fault but ABB was way too larger than life - with way too much gravitas. We really needed him today... lok-tantra rehna chahiye.

Great work....noone other than Mr Tripathi can do it. Very difficult to make this kind of movie. A movie to be watched by all fancy unnecessary so called stars

@@willamsmith99 Because a lot of biopics are based on the characters full life since when they were active in the respective field. For example, even MS Dhoni starts with him being in education n then moves to reach his biggest achievements. So saying biopics should only focus on one part of someone’s life is optional. If the Atal movie felt it was too rushed or if it’s good or bad is a different matter. Can’t say biopics shouldn’t show full life story. That’s the director’s vision. We can say if we liked it or not or did he do a good job or not.

She is a reviewer and she shared her review. If you don't like it then don't watch it, simple. Why comment all negative things. Many biopics have been made in Bollywood, Anupama mam only feels that this biopic is not up to the level that Atal ji deserves. I also follow another reviewer, 'Yogi bolta hai' he also said the same thing. He said Atal Ji's life story needed a series and you can't fit his entire personality in 2.5 hrs movie & hence the movie feels rushed. WHY YOU GUYS CAN'T TAKE A REVIEW AS A REVIEW??? This is a casting catastrophe. Pankaj tripathi looks, speaks and acts more like Mulayam Singh Yadav rather than Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The trailer was enough to ascertain that it’s basically ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ but with a better budget.
Also, before anyone says anything, I just want to say that Hollywood does it too like how many Winston Churchill biopics will it take to stop talking about him like he’s a saviour of democracy?

The lady skipped most important movies which didnt suit her ideology. I know how she would review atal for her husband made a mockery movie called "shikara" to whitewash heinous acts of terrorism in Kashmir. Definitely theres nothing that you say is believable

Wrong casting, pankaj looks like more of a mimicry artist than subtle portrayal of ABB. 😢. Pankaj is an actor with limitations.
