Civic Tyle R FL5 Radar Detector Mirror Tap
How to mirror tap a radar detector on your FL5 type R. Get rid of the 12V wire that dangles and much easier than hard wiring it to the fusebox.
What is needed -
Mirror tap cable. My radar detector is an Uniden so I am using a RJ11 cable (which most modern radars seem to use), if yours does not then a similar mirror tap cable that works for your radar

Thanks. This really help. My light had a shorter cord. It was hard getting it back in without touching the head liner

Glad it helped out. I wish the radar cord was longer to begin with but I guess usually people tap from the mirror so the path is a lot shorter than taping from the lights.

Will this work on a 2022 civic sport?

I don't have a 2022 civic sport but I would imagine the dome light is very similar if not the same so I would say 99% sure it probably does
