We have always conducted elections upto 2014, on issues and the need to eradicate poverty and make India a safe place. Now they are being fought for polarisation and continuation of vote bank politics but not on good governance which was the issue on which the current dispensation contested the 2014 GE. Unfortunately, that was forgotten and now War mongering has taken centre stage.
