I prefer London over NY. London's transportation is top notch, it is more modern, cleaner, and safer. The city of London overall is also cleaner and safer than NYC with less mentally ill and homeless people. London also has a lot more history and character.
London is older, so in that way it has "more history", but there's a reason filmmakers of all nationalities combine to make about 15 films in New York City for every 1 film in London. The City of New York just has more character, more modern history that people are more familiar with, and is just more interesting to people around the world who have never been to either.
London any day.. afternoon and Devonshire teas, parks/gardens/lakes, interesting places to see and visit, lot's of nice food, high percentage of people are well mannored and polite, I remember London in the 70's when I was a lad and it was so cheap (so was everywhere else I suppose).. I imagine New York in the 70's and 80's would've been amazing too..

To my experience, NY is better.
I’d say London is more suited for life. I found NY a bit too dangerous and overpopulated. It has its own unique charm no doubt, but it seems that only highly enthusiastic and active people can truly make NY home. London, on contrast, is calmer - one can always easily escape the noise. Also, I think it has a more welcoming environment for international investors/guests, it’s more diverse and interconnected. The society here is more elevated in sophistication, more people read and enjoy arts. Moreover, geographically we are quite close to other major European cities, so the world feels much smaller. For me, personally, London deserves the title of “The Capital of the World”.
😂 You have only been to Manhattan given your ‘observations’. There is no more diverse city in the world than New York. How the hell would you know about more people reading and enjoying arts in London than New York? Based on what? Research? Your desires? New York’s theater scene is much more vibrant than London’s and there is simply no comparison in the food scene. London is like a bunch of villages that have grown together over time. Both are states in what we call the South. The United States spans a continent and the longest domestic flight is Boston-Honolulu, 12+ hours one way. So please don’t be silly. London wins
I have to say London.
It’s fun and quaint - but hardly in the same league as New York. No need at all to go into which is best for business and investment - different scale. You must be quite young, not having experienced much yet.
Did you leave Manhattan ? This comment is giving I never left Manhattan. New York City is one of the most recently and ethnic play diverse cities in the world. There’s over 600 languages spoken NYC metropolitan area.
I'm from London, everyone who's been to NY says it's better than London. London just has better public transport.

This video makes one thing perfectly accurate and that's the fact that British think they are superior and they don't even realize that they sound that way when they talk about pretty much anything British :) ...my assumption that the text of this video was probably written and read by someone from England.
Precisely - who’s only been to Manhattan, if that. Doesn’t know that people only write ‘NYC’ - only idiot tourists would ever say it.
I would argue that even British snobbishness wouldn’t possibly be able to beat American “exceptionalism”. It’s a vast overgeneralisation to assume that just because there was once the British Empire, all the Brits are arrogant. I suppose in that regard there is nothing surprising or “exceptional” in this comment haha. I do hope you’d visit our island one day, I am sure you’ll enjoy it.
@@pacmanc8103 Well, there is nothing idiotic in being a tourist, at least someone should travel the world. I do sympathies with the fact that most of you Americans don’t even have a passport, but please don’t don’t be pathetic. I would personally argue that, if anything, travelling makes one more informed about the world and people that inhabit it. Certainly, it would guarantee that one wouldn’t end up in Austria on a supposed holiday to Australia haha
@@allazharduisenbek9936 Well, the youngster has been busy typing today, responding to a comment written 7 months ago. Sorry to let you down, but 156 million Americans have valid passports. Those passports are used primarily to other continents, unlike UK passports, which are, of course, necessary to travel from the UK to Spain, which is the equivalent of traveling from Texas to Florida. Both are states in what we call the South. The United States spans a continent and the longest domestic flight is Boston-Honolulu, 12+ hours one way. So please don’t be silly. This from an American who has a home abroad, speaks Arabic fluently (and OK Greek) and has had to renew passports early because the pages were full.
@@pacmanc8103 “Youngster”? Goodness, what do you think it is, 1980s? It seems that centuries grind by quite slowly on the other side of the Atlantic haha… I didn’t expect much and was right after all. I wonder if you understand the meaning of the word “most”? 150 some million against the total population of 330 some million means that the majority of you don’t have a passport. I would be ashamed to be schooled by a “youngster”. Of course America is so massive one might as well stay and not travel at all. Well, so is Russia, doesn’t mean that one would want to live there. It seems that the problem is not only in American “exceptionalism” but in inherent “gigantism”. You might as well extend your borders beyond and go and colonise the Red Planet. We will all support you in that endeavour. The more of you will go there the better.

Very very untrue. It seems like you’ve never been to New York or at the very least, came to New York with pre-conceived notions. People can spend their whole lives in New York and still not see everything because there is so much to do in this City. Take it from someone who actually, you know, lives here.

Have you lived in London?
@@redsquirrel1086 I haven’t lived in London. But my sister did live there for a time and I’ve visited. It’s a lovely city. One of the best in the world. But again, New York City has 1,700 parks (that’s the literal number), over 145 museums (including the Met, the MoMA, the Frick, Whitney, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Tenement Museum), a word famous theatre district considered one of the two pinnacles of theatre in the English-speaking world, thousands of amazing bars, clubs, & restaurants, and dozens of cultural and historical sites, so no, you can’t really “do New York” in a few days. Not unless you have a severe misunderstanding of what actually constitutes New York and what’s worth seeing in the City. Apparently in your time here, you didn’t spend much time actually exploring the City.
@@rzeitouneh
NYC is the only city I have ever lived in that includes swimming pools and skating rinks among its "parks." No wonder it has so many!
Anyway, you and I must agree to differ. For me it's not even a close contest between the cities because London is so superior, but at the end of the day it's all down to personal taste isn't it.
@@redsquirrel1086 eh, some things are quantifiable facts. Like the fact that London ALSO includes public swimming pools in their parks. They call them “lidos.” And another thing that’s not really up to preference is that New York is undoubtedly one of the great cities of the world and is so massive and has such a storied history and heritage that, no, you can’t just “do it in a few days.” I’ve lived here for years and still discover new things and new places in the City every single day. I’m not gonna say it’s superior to London but I’m also not gonna say London is superior to New York because they actually are very very similar cities. It’s actually a thing that New York and London are considered twin cities. It’s called “NyLon,” look it up.
But either way, agree to disagree I guess.
i live at uk but London is far
According to me the New York City is better than London , because USA is Richer and powerful than the UK . So the NYC should be greater than London.
