So good to know. Just got my JLU and trying to learn as much as possible about it. This was one of the things I had no idea about. Thank you for the informative video.
Yes, there is. I don’t know how to do it, though. For me, it’s a warranty issue. I don’t want to mess with that. I will say that since This particular event, I’ve never had this issue again. I think Jeep might’ve tweaked the software in the computer. Also, I don’t use the Avengers button anymore… I have a theory that using the Avengers button means NOT charging the secondary battery… but that’s just my personal theory.
@@OverNoobin Thanks for the quick response. I'm very new to the Jeep life. Bought my first one, 2018 Wrangler JLU 4 weeks ago. My instict tells me that NOT using the A button will be bad on the starter, etc. since it stops & starts so many times-???, but I don't know enough about them to know for sure. So to confirm you're saying that I should NOT use the A button so that the 2nd battery keeps charging, correct?
@@jackiee410 that’s MY theory. It’s not bad on the starter because the vehicle is engineered to do exactly what it’s doing… but my theory (as a non-mechanic & noob myself) is that the Avengers button usage prevents charging of the secondary battery. I have ZERO proof or evidence … it’s just my theory. If you purchased your Jeep used, you may want to see if the battery work was ever done, which should be easy as warranty work is usually connected to the vehicle VIN.

Thanks so much for the kind words! I hope you don’t ever need the info. 😉
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this informative video. Is there any way to permanently turn off the A feature?

@@OverNoobin OK thank you for the info. I'll do a little more research on it myself and see what I can find out. Love your video though!
So how do you re-engage that rip cord
Just pull it with the pedal brake engaged. You’ll feel it & it is a “hard pull.”
