13:38 all mutant killing ammo is cheapest at Butcher, the dude in the Garbage hangar. Early/mid game you should never buy HP/hydrashock ammo from anyone else, especially considering you can also go to Butcher and do his daily kill mutants quest (and later even the meat one) for loads of cash and/or cheap ammo.
This right here is excellent advice! Also, everything Butcher sells is the cheapest. I have confirmed this. He also buys the magz for really good prices.

The sleep mechanics are a bit detached from reality. I got up at 6am, ran through 3 locations, turned off the Brain Scorcher, came back... somehow I don't want to sleep.
@@jaydiggy86, maybe we need more rare mutants/stalkers at night? Or that the desire to sleep occurred earlier and you could not sleep for 10+ hours. Then you will either have to drink energy drinks to drag out the day, or go to bed early and wake up because of it at night
There is a brainscorcher patch which I use in the GAMMA discord that makes it so you dont need the helmet and reverts back to base anomaly so you can go thru all of the northern regions without the psy helmet again fyi. Also you cannot go to the red forest without disabling the brain scorcher even with the helmet. Another side note. The Blue handgun repair kit can repair a handgun completely no matter the part conditions by right clicking and using "maintain parts" for all 3 handgun parts so for anyone reading this is you can afford a handgun repair kit then you have a handgun in mint condition
24:16 watching you sell the controller brain for $1200 hurts my soul :( if you hand them in for fetch quests you get around $10-14k for them, same with any pseudogiant/chimera parts

I am almost certain you have to disable both the miracle machine and the brain scorcher before you can go any further north, since the mission text for the MM says that it emits psy waves specifically at Radar, and from what I remember of the main story quest the brain scorcher in Radar is what keeps stalkers from going north. Just a bit of a speedbump in your plans, but I believe in you.
i think disabling the miracle machine allows you to go to limansk/red forest/radar but no further north than that; not sure tho because my GAMMA install is modded to hell and back lol
Add the animation mod for wearing suits and gasmask, i use it with gamma and there is no issues using it on my end. Makes it more special to wear your new suit and mask that you fix after many hurdles just like fixing and making a functional gun.
You can edit a setting in options that allows you to sell low quality items. Like artefacts. It's like a minimum sell item condition precentage. It's default setting is zero. But if you set it to 1 you can sell items.
I always favorite my active ammo. That way I can always see them at the top of my inventory and know how much I have. But even more importantly it will also be at the top in the stores meaning you dont have to search for it.
The faction standing matters for the random quests. He probably has increased progression difficulty. Most mod packs allow you to set the values to whatever you want.
Been doing a similar playthrough and just went through EXACTLY this sequence. Couldn't go to Red Forest, thought the psy helmet would allow it, so I got one, still didn't help. Now I'm stuck, trying to get into the lab (X16?) in Yantar, to disable the scorcher so I can get into Radar, which is also inaccessible even with the psy helmet. Found that the psy helmet does exactly jack-point-sh!t to resist the psy attacks in the lab. Can't get past the snorks and psy-suckers at the bottom of the elevator. Also - had the same 'weak knife' experience on the first Chimera...
@@LumirDoležal I always forget about the knife early on. Especially since the starting loadout knife didn't used to carve up the boars and now it does, which made me think, okay, it's good for anything now.
You can go to Radar, infact I think you need to do both M.M. and B.S. to go north. The last couple playthroughs over the last few weeks I've had to do both. But idk if that was specifically mercs and clear sky to do the B.S.
Yeah it used to be a couple of updates ago that when you get the complete psy helmet you can travel in the northern regions of the zone without deactivating the miracle machine if you had gotten the less calibrated psy helm that cheaper and took less time to get and traveled in the northern regions you will experience periodic phantom attacks from mutants,now the less calibrated psy helm has been removed and you need to pay 30k to get a instant calibrated psy helm and deactivate the miracle machine to travel north i belive the trade off is worth it.

Man I want to know how people get such clarity at a distance. I can't ever see anything at range without a scope and I hate it. Seems like everyone else has way better draw distance, but this could be a gamma thing. They do custom tweaking with textures and whatnot so very well could be.
You can set the iron sights zoom multiplier in settings. Also if you press the “alt view” button on a regular scope while on aim view it will zoom a bit (~20%)
@donkey_oaty I mean being able to see more clearly at a distance. I have render distance at 80% texture detail and quality all the way up, but still seems to get blurry looking off into the distance if that makes sense?

Didnt they update that Brain Scorcher mission to have a time limit!? Not hyped for that once i start replaying GAMMA lol. It scared the living crap out of me more than once with no ammo left
yoou can go to the red forest trough limansk. go to dead city with your mercennary disguise, go to back of mercenery base exit to limansk and go to red forest exit
PSY pills work if you have another form of protection like the good food and together you can sustain the PSY health, you just have to be carful of other PSY damage. its not a permenant fix for going up north but should be a bandaid to get you what you want
I'd rather save all the mutant parts for the quest missions as they give u more money that way. But if selling, definitely go to Butcher in the Garbage as he gives the most money for them. Also he likes porn magazines a lot more than other traders (gives more money for them), I guess it gets pretty lonely in the Garbage by himself and surrounded by no one but Duty members XD

It's because in Gamma all money rewards are modified by the progression difficulty.
I think it's random in gamma, I've sold it for as low as 3k~ and seen someone else sell it for ~20k

Just turn off the sleep system altogether. This will allow you to sleep when you want.

I just sold a Kill Strelok PDA to Beard in Skadovsk and it sold for 19k. Maybe who you're selling to and/or your standings with the faction matter?

That's why I always go to that hunter guy in garbage to get backpack and knife asap.

I record in 4K using lossless downscaling to 2k so I don’t destroy my pc lol. Then render back up to 4K in editing

They make you work for artifacts hard in gamma man, once you get a emerald volat/flash combo though you are pretty fucking set
If you add bubble and something to block physical to that combo you are essentially immortal unless you do something really really ballsy
