I recently came to USA to do my masters in Health informatics at UWM (which doesn’t give me the privlege to be a dentist) but back in my mind I know I always wanted to be a doc. I was very confused with multiple information from different sources and two days back my TH-cam recommendations got me here. I m glad u shared the info which is so crisp and clear. I’m starting 3rd year soon and I’ve started my research on the process of getting licensed in the US, and is it possible to take INDBE before graduating if well prepared of course ? Of course coming to the states on a visiting visa to take it but is It compulsory for you to have graduated first ?

      Hey Uchechi Onyeachu, You need to get an eligibility letter signed from your home country school's Dean saying you have cleared all the necessary courses+ ECE evaluations sent to JCNDE to be eligible for INBDE. Do you'll have to do 1 yr internships after 4years in Poland? If all the finals are completed by 4th year then I suppose you might do it then. But not in 3rd year. When it was NBDE part 1 and part 2 they had different rules. You could do that initially but not anymore. Hope this helps. 😊

    Thank you so much for the awesome video I really appreciate it with your fantastic video I didn't get challenging to apply but I got a couple of questions.
    1. If I re-apply for the INBDE due to failure or fail will I still need to make ECE again?
    2. is there no expiration of INBDE? Like Tofel?
    3. 5 attempts / 5 years mean what will happen after 5 attempts also fail? (Just want to prepare everything to be insurance)

    • @DrSamthedentisthomie
      @DrSamthedentisthomie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey @Hanju Park, thanks for the kind words.
      Ans 1. No ECE again. But will have to pay for the exam again.
      2. No expiration for INBDE as such. But depends on the program directors of schools if they would like it after certain years.
      3. After 5 yrs /5 fail I suppose one could start again. Or probably change fields. Haven't thought so much. Most people try to get it in 1-3 attempts.

      Hi @ThePiki123 , You can either buy the Mosby's part 1and 2 or buy the First Aid part 1 and 2. This is because part 1 of both will have only the basic sciences subjects and part 2 for both will have subjects like Endodontics, Operative Dentistry, Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery and Pain Control, Oral Diagnosis, Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry, Patient Management, Periodontics, Pharmacology, and Prosthodontics. Since having 4 books might be quite expensive I would recommend you select either one with both parts. And thanks for pointing it out, I have fixed the links in the description. 🙂 Here you go

    • @DrSamthedentisthomie
      @DrSamthedentisthomie  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Harjot , It will be different for everyone as everyone will have different subjects that they might have found difficult. Most often you can plan a schedule to use atleast 1 week for a subject. Use active recall. Some people like to do different days in a week with different subjects. Meaning once you have read one subject /topic on day one, then read some other subject for the second day and day 3 try to recall what you did on day 1 and revise/ read what you don't remember. That way it doesn't waste time and also you will end up having multiple revisions of the subject matter. This is a great question and I will try to make a video on it soon to help you in detail Harjot. 🙂

      You could do that long time ago but nope you cannot work in Canada anymore just after clearing INBDE. Canada has NDEB and probably some state exams as well. And you will have to go through school in Canada or the US before you can start working as a dentist in Canada as well. INBDE is like the final exam here. You still have to take state specific licencing exams like NERB/WREB/CODA /ADEX which one can be eligible only after part of dental education here as international dentists. I am unaware of the exact situation in Canada though.

      10 yrs is a lot of time in practice. You would have taken a lot of CE courses to improve your dentistry already. If your practice is doing great then why go through the whole process of move? A move to a different country is hard especially with children and family. It's something to think about! Considering immigration situation for kids born outside USA can be hard as well. Please rethink your decisions. I think this video might help you in deciding with all the criteria discussed. If you answer yes for all then and only then move after a lot of thought. th-cam.com/video/mjEzjBGJJa8/w-d-xo.html
