Hello Sam, while you are selecting the reason for credential evaluation, initially if I select engineering as my field of study and then if I am applying to programs based on design, is it going to cause a problem?
Nope, not a problem. ECE is only for your existing credentials and education and in order for US schools to grade you a similar level with other applicants. You can apply to any course you qualify for after it. Just make sure with your applied schools that all their requirements are fine for you.

It all depends on the COUNTRY dependent documents they ask for. Most often you cannot send the scanned copies. ECE needs to be sent the official documents =sealed transcripts from the University. Your school sends the unofficial transcript to the university. Your university can use the world wide transcript portal if it is mentioned in your country specific documents section on the form.
ECE was one of the confusing things during application process especially because the College was supposed to send the UNOFFICIAL college transcripts to the university. After that the university was supposed to send them ( university original OFFICIAL sealed transcripts) to ECE. God knows how many times I had to call my dental college office and then the University to get mine done sooner! What was your experience? Also please read the comments as a lot of us had similar doubts 😊 and you may find your answer sooner in case I miss responding in time. Good luck 👍 Thankyou.

You need to contact the university and your dental school both. It's impossible that they will not send it. Let them know appropriately what is needed for the ECE.

Atleast write the approximate start date. Most people do remember the starting month of the year they started dental school and graduated the dental school as the ending date. Many people check-in on Facebook or other websites when they start some program.. Find out either way :)

Yes. ECE returns your original. But you need official university transcripts sealed/stamped by the university. Opened transcripts will not be accepted by ECE

Hey @Jyoti Joshi, I think it should work because the transcripts are never going to change. Degree certificates need to be original as well. Frankly I would recommend you to create an ECE account and contact them individually if they need new transcripts through your account for exact response. I have not encountered anyone sending stuff which has been more than 5yrs so far. So I am not completely aware of this part. In the institution area add CAAPID for sending it to them electronically.

Unless it is mentioned in your home country specific DOCUMENTS NEEDED section in your ECE application as shown in the video, please recheck everything before you follow certain things heard/said as this might make you spend more time in the process. Unless mentioned by ECE it's not acceptable.

In your country specific documents page on the ECE website, if they ask for high school study history then yes please provide it. Most often it is better to give more than less.

Provisional certificate is when you are still doing your internship saying you are still in school. This can be from the dean or registrar INBDE certificate of eligibility is a letter from the dean saying you have completed all the required courses/classes needed to be eligible for the exam. Its has to be in a format. Please check this in the beginning of the video for explaination 😊👍

Yes you will get one for yourself when you request for a hard copy to know your GPA. Send the copy for jcnde later when you are ready for taking your exam as the eligibility from the jcnde for INBDE is only 6months. Beyond that you may have to pay again for the exam. Request the other university copies later.
Official sealed transcripts by the university only are needed. Which can be received at your home . These plus all Other documents can be sent together in a huge envelope on your own to ECE.

Fill in name as per passport be t also add middle name as it appears on the certificates in the name difference area. Write like normally we do Frist Middle last name in that part.
Preferably should have similar name as your passport. Some people even have had an affidavit made from the lawyer on a stamp paper in India for a similar correction confirming and mentioning that it is the same person .

I need some more information regarding what course you are applying for inorder to answer your questions correctly in detail.. However usually once you get evaluation done for your first course/program you are applying for or company that should be fine. Unless the specific state you are moving to later on has certain licensure requirements or your specific company says so.

Yes you could. But then you would have two different addresses as your personal addresses. Make sure there is no conflict so the documents you need to be sent back to your home don't get misplaced.
I am unaware if international teachers need ECE evaluation. But you do have to give a few tests before working. Please contact the specific state regulatory bodies/universities/schools for your details regarding ECE. Yes. Complete the CAAPID form later. You can always go inside ECE webpage form and order additional ECE reports for other universities + ECE for CAAPID later too. You don't need to complete the CAAPID form before ECE. Once received you should get an email. Give at least 4-5 business days after that contact them via email.

I do not think there are any rush services with ECE available . An electronic copy might be faster to reach though.

You have to contact the university personally for a transcript. It's a document the university provides and you don't have to worry about it.

In your country specific documents page on the ECE website, if they ask for high school study history then yes please provide it. Most often it is better to give more than less.

Hey @Divya Prasad, If it's supposed to be that way then let ada know. If not then, you might want to get that corrected as every document going forward in the US will follow the passport.

Most people post them to the physical address unless mentioned otherwise on your country specific documents page in the ECE application.

Provisional certificate is when you are still doing your internship saying you are still in school. This can be from the dean or registrar
INBDE certificate of eligibility is a letter from the dean saying you have completed all the required courses/classes needed to be eligible for the exam. Its has to be in a format. Please check this in the beginning of the video for explaination 😊👍

Yes you will get one for yourself when you request for a hard copy to know your GPA. Send the copy for jcnde later when you are ready for taking your exam as the eligibility from the jcnde for INBDE is only 6months. Beyond that you may have to pay again for the exam. Request the other university copies later.

Contact Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc. (ECE) and request a General Report. The ECE evaluation
report request will describe what documents are required, the manner in which to submit them to ECE,
and the applicable fee. To request an evaluation report, visit www.ece.org, select Start Your Evaluation
Request, and request a General Report be sent to the ADAT Program.
2. Only official reports electronically transmitted from ECE Inc. to the ADAT Program will be accepted and more. Please check the details.

You have to pay and place an order of an electronic copy of the report to be sent to the university.

Fill in name as per passport be t also add middle name as it appears on the certificates in the name difference area. Write like normally we do Frist Middle last name in that part.

Preferably should have similar name as your passport. Some people even have had an affidavit made from the lawyer on a stamp paper in India for a similar correction confirming and mentioning that it is the same person .

Hey Mariam, thank you. It is Not ok. Please take an envelope to the school and have them seal it/ stamp the transcripts to be sent to your university from where they need to send it to ECE. If your school =university just send the sealed envelope from them to ECE

I need some more information regarding what course you are applying for inorder to answer your questions correctly in detail.. However usually once you get evaluation done for your first course/program you are applying for or company that should be fine. Unless the specific state you are moving to later on has certain licensure requirements or your specific company says so.

Yes you could. But then you would have two different addresses as your personal addresses. Make sure there is no conflict so the documents you need to be sent back to your home don't get misplaced.

Where did you want to send it to? Send to JCNDE for eligibility letter for taking the national boards and send to CAAPID for applications

I am unaware if international teachers need ECE evaluation. But you do have to give a few tests before working. Please contact the specific state regulatory bodies/universities/schools for your details regarding ECE.

@Kezia , my pleasure . That's a great question and here is how you can do it easily if it's not coming up as institutions.
1. Complete the ADEA CAAPID application and get a Centralized Application Service (CAS) ID#.
2. From your ADEA CAAPID account, choose to order an ECE® Evaluation.

Yes. Complete the CAAPID form later. You can always go inside ECE webpage form and order additional ECE reports for other universities + ECE for CAAPID later too. You don't need to complete the CAAPID form before ECE. But you need ECE to be eligible to take your INBDE as an international dentist😊You may checkout this video to see the order in which to do things for the whole application process so it's easier for you Kezia

@@Canadianbyheart if you are applying to American universities you will need course by course for sure. Same will mostly be ok for Canadian universities as well. You don't have to get a separate course by course and general. But if you know that the ADAT website says general and are not applying for any US universities then go for general. Hope this helps
