Last summer we were surprised to find the cycle path that leads through the museum. This really was a treat while cycling the beautiful surroundings of Overloon! And it's even free to visit!

    Great coverage.
That cycle flyover is the epitome of Dutchness. Brilliant.

Another wonderful video Joris. I hope to visit Overloon one day as it looks an amazing place to visit and see in particular the Lancaster, replica Horsa and the many tanks. Wishing you all the very best for a successful year of walking the ground with your tour company.

Great piece of work. Had no idea this Museum even existed. What a revelation! Looks like a superb addition to the WW2 set pieces of vital historic collections. Will plan on visiting on my next visit to The Netherlands. Thank You for the great capture of video images.

You should make your way down to Diekirch to the museum there. You won't be disappointed. I will be checking Overloon the next time I am in western Europe.

Amazing video... amazing museum! I was there in 1974,
I am impressed that the scope has morphed from Overloon exclusively into the ETO as a whole... they should include artifacts from the Pacific theatre in the future! I would love to visit again someday...your video is the next best thing.😊

This is what a museum is supposed to be like - they display the artifacts, all of the artifacts. One gets a sense of the scale of WW2 by the number of artifacts that were made for so many different purposes. Many museums seem to believe that they can improve the visitor experience by displaying fewer artifacts. With that reasoning, they should make it really good by displaying nothing at all.
Also, the Militracks Event at Overlook is amazing.

Very impressive and large WW2 museum, I hope Militracks 2022 will take place this year.

You should have seen the museum in the seventies and eighties of the previous age. At first it was an almost totally outside exhibition, then a new inside exhibition opened, that has changed into this which I haven’t visited yet. My last visit was in the early eighties. Been there so many times.

Are the markings on the Panther G accurate to the 107th Panzer Brigade? I have heard that their Panthers had no markings during Operation Market Garden operation.
