I don’t know how you do it. I love Rick Steve’s and Rudy Maxa, but why they never took us into Palazzo Pitti is beyond me. Your camera work and editing and ability to hold us hostage with your narration and passion is world class. Great job you two!!!
Watching this as we taxi down the runway (Toronto) about to take off for Rome. So excited that Florence will be our first stop. REALLY LOVE your videos, Mateo and Micha! Thanks for sharing your adopted county with the world! Such thoughtful work - great balance of camera work, editing, educational narration, and very human attitude … and honest sense of humour. Love you two!
Underwhelmed with the Gardens and then overwhelmed with the Palazzo - and those chandeliers!!! definitely added it to my "to see" list when in Tuscany! Thanks for the video - amazing!
Loving your videos guys! My family visited the Bobili gardens and Pitti Palace in 2017, and we were blown away. The palace is like Versailles with decorations, and the gardens when we went were just lovely. The coffee house wasn't open, but the porcelain museum was, I remember being so anxious my kids would break something! Your videos are a perfect blend of information and interpretation. Great work, and thanks 😊
By far my favourite space in Florence, absolutely worth taking a day out to see it. It could really work to go in see some of the gallery, go for a wander in the garden…come back and see more if the palace! 👏💕
Love your videos. Such a pleasurable trip to share with us. Palazzo Pitti was designed by Brunelleschi for Luca Pitti in 1445. So incredible!❤. Grazie da Texas come sempre
Your information piques me to read even more for my upcoming month in Florence. Thank you for your hard work! The ladys wardrobe absolutely cracks me up😂😂😂😊
Yoooooooooo guyyssss!! Happy to see you again (as always). Beautiful video, it is a treasure for those who cannot travel and come to Italy to see these places.
We were in Florence recently and did a cycle tour on e-bikes. It hit the hills behind Florence and a vine yard and it was magical. Definitely go find it and visit the highest point for a stunning view back across the city from an ex-monastery site.
@@TheGlobalExpats I actually visited Boboli Gardens like 15 years ago, late July, and they were mostly yellow-dry, not really lush green. Can't wait to see the renovationsm though.
Thanks for another great video, to be honest you both had me laughing with your comments in the underwhelming garden! Hilarious as always you and your videos make my day ❤😂😊
Wow! Didn’t realize this was even there. I know this was shot back in Oct, so what have you been up to recently? Such a sweet kitty. We are always looking for them everywhere we travel to.
Thank you matteo n mischa, wonderful video. Planning to go in July so will check this out. You guys said this was in October, which region are you guys in now. Keep up the great work n enjoy.
What a view anyway. It's pretty disappointing when you find out that some place is closed for restoration, but it happens and usually it takes ages right because generally it is a super delicate and slow process. Sometimes they open some areas where you can see the experts while they are restoring and I don't know if they are gonna do that there.
Yea it was a bit of a bummer things were closed and blocked off, but it's nice to know they are trying to fix it all up! We'll just have to come back in a few years! 😅
@@TheGlobalExpats Yeah, it's pretty well known that, for example, the super technological restoration (especially for that age) of the Leonardo's Last Supper took 22 years to be completed. 😅 Or the Sistine' Chapel's restoration; there's a documentary about that right here on TH-cam.
It's mind boggling that the millions of tourists(£€$) that flood these gardens and the Palace and they don't have full time maintenence workers and gardener's!! I was last in these gardens 6 year's ago and they were exactly the same!! Fountains were disgusting 🤢. Lovin your vibe!! 😍🤗
I thought you said the little dome building was an arse house 😂 i was waiting for Matteo to explain what happened there. It is in fact an ICE house not an arse house
I live in Germany and I've been to too many fancy gardens in Europe and when I didn want to enter Boboli garden after hearing the 10€ entrace fee because it's ususally free or 3€ at other much more beautiful European gardens, the Italian staff laughed at me.
Everybody knows it: Boboli it's actually an open air museum. Are Versailles Gardens free to entry? Definitely it's not. Then, tell me, what's wrong with you?! I'm not laughing, bro Firenze is packed in beautiful places with great art free to enjoy. Giardino di Boboli is one of the most ancient garden you can find, it's not just another fancy garden; it represents one of the first and most important examples of the Italian garden, which later served as inspiration for many European courts. So sorry it's not free, but please, don't complain.
@@giovannimoriggi5833typical German, they always complain about something,it’s not a “typical” garden is an open air museum and in museums you have to pay to get in.

We went to Palazzo Pitti too and our experience was quite similar. We want to go back.

Room after room of extravagant opulence

The dukes treasures were close when I was there last April

Ahh awesome, we hope you enjoyed it! 😍🇮🇹
I rented a beautiful 4 story home close to Pitti. I was surprised by how plain the outside was. Inside, of course was a different thing.
Right?? So surprising! 😂😍
hi! I'm trying to buy tickets for the pitti palace and gardens, but I have some questions about it, can you help me?
By chance, are you going to Arezzo for the Giostra del Saracino? I will be there!
Unfortunately not Nina, but it does look super festive! We hope you have an incredible time 🥰
They recently opened up the private garden of the Medici within giardino di Boboli. Might would have been interesting for you too!
That sounds incredible, Annie! Thanks for the information 🥰
