My Johnson Family came to Wilkes and Traphill from Virginia before the Revolutionary war. Captain Samuel Johnson, Lt William Johnson and my gggg grandfather Sgt Benjamin Johnson fought at Kings Mountain and other battles...some moved to Brushy Mtn. later.

No mention of George Washington Brown?
With over 1500 descendants one would think he would be worthy of a mention.
He was the third child of John Brown, Jr, who is buried inside the State Park.
John Hutchinson married the 7th child of John Brown, Jr, and gets all the fame?
    I don't understand that...

Please check private message on your TOWER LIFE site. God bless you for bringing this to light and to all discerning people who deeply respect truth, heritage, legacy and honor for ALL those who came before us, not just a 'select few.'
