Obviously it's a game where luck is a factor. What they've proven is that there's an amount of skill such that you don't need luck, but that doesn't mean luck isn't present.
@@matthewmatt6 There is still a certain level of skill involved in the delirium fight. There's just more luck involved due to the instability of the fight like telefrags or the lightning speed mom stomps.

I almost had the same situation but with tainted magdalene, i had to defeat beast without any damage upgrade for the whole run and obviously only with 2 red hearts since her healt constantly goes down
It's possible, the only items that you have ti pick up are dad's note and dogma (Faded polariod trinket for door) UNLESS you start with eden, then it's possible itemless with g.hourglass
If you play as azazel or the lost you can simply remove dogma and its mantle/soul hearts by using the console + forcibly taking damage for the TRUE 1 item only run

Pretty impressive but I hate this type of challenge, in the sense that it's basically just testing your dodging skills and as much as that is important, it's a very, VERY small part of the overall skillset that Isaac usually asks to the player. Nonetheless, incredible achievement (and absurd dedication)
I respect your opinion, though it isn't really just dodging. Knowledge of each of the attacks, endurance (it is nearly half an hour long :p) amongst a bunch of other factors also come into play.
I actually attempted this challenge but with only isaac's heart, got to the beast but when I realized it would take 15 minutes just for beast I gave up

read the description, i do not count dogma as for one: its a story item, two: its impossible to delete dogma and not let it give you any advantage (if you delete it after obtaining, you keep the mantle and soul hearts)
